Lazy to some but just look at his goalscoring record, even last season he averaged over 1 every 3 games. He is a class act on the ball and will get into good positions for goal scoring opportunities so why not bring in a proven and experienced player that the younger attacking players will learn from and benefit? 1-2 year deal for a free agent that I guarantee will make an impact so what do you think?:

Looks like a worthwhile shout
Looks like a worthwhile shout but considering our injury curse what's the betting he'd be sidelined within a month and out of action for at least a 1/3 of our games?
Don't know Dicks, he's 34
Don't know Dicks, he's 34 years old and I know he has scored a few goals but he always gave the impression that he wasn't arsed. I get the feeling if he did come it would just be a wind down before he retired. Would love to be proven wrong.
Not for me, would demand huge
Not for me, would demand huge wages. I'm sure he'd get a few goals but is at the wrong end of his career for me. And he IS lazy.
But then
Even as a stop gap and without a fee he's surely worth the risk? We paid £4.5m and are still paying £35k per week to Maiga so why wouldn't we pay for a proven player for 1-2 seasons?
Worth a gamble mate IMO,
Worth a gamble mate IMO, clever player with bundles of ability that can score and create goals, no brainer for me
