This has been a terrible time for me and many of my old pals, people seem to be dropping like flies, the next addition to what seems to be and endless list of wonderful souls departing this planet is Colin Vearncombe, AKA Black who has just died as a result of injuries sustained in a car crash. Colin was without doubt the most humble yet brilliant vocalist i ever worked with, and I worked with a few! RIP Colin and great love and wishes to your loved ones, it has been a 'wonderful life'. I will see you and a few of the others on the other side, where you will still be a 'one take wonder'! x
Yes Nev this was reported
Yes Nev this was reported last week...A terrible shame.
I heard that Colin and his mate Dix never used to waste much time getting the music down on tape!
I hope you don't mind me posting this link but this is a great interview from 2013;-

RIP Colin Vearncombe.
His pal was dave dix, and you
His pal was dave dix, and you are correct, he preferred using 16 tracks instead of 24 back in the analogue days.
