Got a topic to discuss-(is anybody out there?!).Are any of you fine orgers preparing to go to any concerts or festivals in the near future?Ill get the ball rolling-as a present for xmas just gone my fine wife,booked The who with paul weller supporting at hyde park end of june (with hotel too!!).Now for me this is the musical equivalent of seeing the mighty hammers in a cup final at wembley...I cant wait for the day when i see these musical heroes of mine on stage..so its over to you folks..

Squeeze
Seeing Squeeze at Devizes Festival sometime in May. Not sure who the Squeeze members will be other than Difford/Tillbrook who I saw earlier this year in Bristol. Should be good although I'm not really a Festival going person.

In southend,they have a great little venue called chinnerys,& in recent years i have seen-stiff little fingers & bad manners-both top nights...

last time we went anywhere it was to Dublin to see Ennio Morricone ,a couple of years ago OH MY GOD , hate it when people say that , as dell boy would say ," he is my most favorite composer " out door concert , corse it pissed down all night , worth it though

We went to see elton john at colchester uniteds ground last summer,typical-it also peed down all night!but also a great concert..
The Mission
On Classic FM's Top 300 (2015) I voted for Gabriel's Oboe by Ennio Morricone as my number 1, the nicest tune I've ever heard. Sergei Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto no.2 then Rachmaninoff's Symphony no.2 were my number two and three.
