With his recent social media post i was just wondering what was your feeling about his move couple seasons back?
I have read many a post on various sites calling him a traitor and worse and for me i found that confusing as i felt no such Animous toward him.
He gave his all for us helped us win a trophy and avoid the drop more than once and whilst his move left a gaping hole in our side and a sense of inevitability about it he never slagged the club or the fans off unlike a certain BFF.
So dust settled what are your thoughts?

Just seen the rumour
R.Madrid want him you can hear the cries of the gooner fans right now. Come on Madrid make it happen lets see those Gooner fans go into meltdown.
Of course you will not be surprised to hear we have no sell on clause we just never learn do we
yes agree
i say good luck to him he gave his all for us and he had to move on to better himself . i take great pride in watching him play be it for the gooners but particularly for England because there was no way our owners were going to build a team around him so we could compete for Europe year in and year out as they are not capable of doing so as our league position proves
No animosity to lad at all!
He was an inspirational leader / skipper, a beacon of hope to all young players trying to break through, one of the most gifted players I ever saw in CB, truly versatile player that could play in any position, a true pro.
Should be the first name on the team sheet for England and will take over the arm band after Harry Kane.
When he left I said I would neither boo him or cheer him at the BoM, just be neutral. Given the way he conducts himself I would probably applaud him!
No sell on clause is no surprise. BS couldn't run a bath!!!
I have nothing but peace and
I have nothing but peace and love for Declan. He gave us everything and was one of our own. I hope he breaks appearance records for England. It's weird when I watch him play. I still think of him as one of ours deep down.
I wish him nothing but success..
He's conducted himself well
But I'm disappointed in his lack of loyalty to a club who took on a discard and helped him become the player he became. I truly hope however, the only trophy he ever gets is the one he won with us. For me he is history, gone.
lack of loyalty DH
It was no surprise, just ask the Irish :o)
I was watching the gooners
I was watching the gooners tonight ,he should havet motm, sometimes when I see him play I can't believe he once played for us ,the reason he left? He wanted to do better for himself and avoid a continual relegation battle ever year .
He had to move on
Any decent player with ambition will because our club just does not work right! like NewBurkie says wheres the fun in fighting relegation year in year out.
Declan
He left at the perfect time, full-circle moment. Deccers won the Conference as our Captain and left. Didn't pull a Trent for Liverpool and we managed to get £100m for him, why Sully didn't put a sell-on clause I'll never know but I'm sure he's sulking about it now.
Nothing but respect for Rice, I think the deal agreed worked out for all parties and he's proven to be one of the very few to be worth more than the £100m fee agreed. Many others have tried and failed to live up to that price
