Do I smell a rat?

Is it my sceptical side coming out? Is it my age?

Thursday night we hear about a tweet from an agent who looks after both Billic and Payet, claiming we have signed Payet only to retract the tweet and to claim 'my account was hacked'. He then went on to say that he would let us know news the following day, but nothing was forthcoming. Now I have just read the following article:

So is this a case of the agent playing games to bump up the deal as the player and his club know how serious we are about signing him so they bump up the asking price? After all the rumours/opinions about our previous managers connections with agents and players this is the last thing we need in my opinion and it doesn't help. Your opinions please?

parasites ,the lot of them if only one of the big clubs would come out and state from now on we dont deal with agents , a lot of clubs would follow suit

I negotiate deals for a living and have done so for years, and if anyone compromises my bargaining position I let them know about it. This looks obvious to me as it's in his interests to ramp up the transfer value, and by using social media before a deal has been signed he is communicating our intention to buy and in the process showing our cards to the owners of the player. When will our club ever learn? I want the job and now.

Don't make sense in the same article it says no1 has made bids for Charlie Austin but last night odds were slashed and frozen for him to join us after a flurry of late bets

If anyone knows how he works it's Bilic and if he's trying to fleece the club then bilic will suffer if Sugo pulls the plug on such deals,you know supposedly being a good friend and all that!

Looks like he's used us for leverage to get Payet an improved contract for Marseille,and now he's suggesting we go for watford target Diego Perotti don't tell me he's his agent also

This is a joke and not what we need! But then we also don't need a 15 year old being our PR to the world!

to get his client an improved offer from his current club, as I would probably if I were in his position, so when it's signed I'll open a link to a story but until then 'I'm bored of the rumours!'
