England

Just read the the paper the team that is rumoured to be representing England tonight. Ok they might be wrong but if true is it any wonder why the interest in watching England has waned dramatically? Butland, clyne, rose, Cahill, smalling, lallana, Ali, Henderson dire, Kane and sturridge. IMO only butland, sturridge Ali and Kane have the right to play. The rest are just a.n.other. You could pick players as good as the rest from the championship. No width no creativity 4 central midfielders of which 2 are of the defensive kind! So it's a friendly and Roy plays one of the most negative teams I have seen for a while. Nothing to excite and nothing to learn about either. In short he has given up! Unless of course he thinks we can win the euros by a succession of 0-0 draws! If cresswell isn't considered for that team with no natural width and very little creativity then he might as well knock his own hopes on the head too. What exactly is hodgeson hoping to learn from this team?

Or to put it another way the team is Stoke, Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea, Man U, Liverpool, Liverpool , Spurs, Spurs,Liverpool Spurs. And we all know it would be Man city instead of Stoke. So there is no favoured teams there then especially as neither Liverpool Chelsea or Man U have done that well this season. England is not a closed shop at all!

I wont bother with the England Germany / Germany England game, don't know wether it's home or away, not interested. If I wanted to watch Spurs play, I'd go to Shite Fart Lane every week. I'm sick and tired of the procession of shite old brainless England managers, one after another, picking from the same fucking teams game after game after game. Surely Hodgson must have forgotten to pick Milner, he's a real Hodgson candidate if ever I saw one. Why not pick an injured Rooney or Wiltshire, pick a centre forward from Liverpool who's been injured for months. Get rid of Hodgson the stupid twat.

These youngsters are good players imo especially the second half substitutes (Vardy in particular).
I still think England are the best they have been for a decade or so and although I'm in a minority on here we should go farther than we have done of late in the European Championships in June with this crop of players.
Just have to get rid of Milner and Rooney and it could have been one of the favourites :-)

That's the worry hodgson will bottle it and play same old when it comes to the tournament. I thought we looked good going forward but defensively still look suspect. I see Milner is captain against the Dutch why?

The goat in charge has gone on record already guaranteeing certain players a starting place in the Euro's. 4 of those said players are currently injured, 1 has been all season. Pained me to say it but I was actually willing Germany to win the other night. I have no interest in what this clown is doing for England as he's yet another yes man who believes ALL the talent is at the "big" clubs. Will enjoy my summer/winter break from football this year, which is a first and look forward to a bright new future at the OS for West Ham (If I can work out what the eff Optus are doing with the rights)

I think England could have been up there if it wasn't for the prossession of
old men in cloth caps impossing their worn out doctrine down through the years

Last nights game was a swift reality check after the Germany high... We played last night how we will actually perform in the tournament. As a team, defensively we are still shakier than a plate of jelly and as said above the our width is restricted to narrow play through the centre of the pitch. Cresswell seems the obvious answer to this - good in both attack and defence. Just Hodgson can't see it!? He compared Noble's chances of getting into the squad as good as Grant Holt's a couple of years ago so that shows how much he rates any of our players. Drinkwater played last night and did okay but you can't tell me Noble couldn't do that job either?? Looking forward to boring England in the Euro competition with the same boring players captained by boring James Milner

Who didn't see that coming Andy. Get even worse when they drop vardy for Rooney and put shaw straight in.. I wondered what Roy's fascination with drink water was until the commentator said he was from Man Utd youth, ahh now I know why

Milner - can't cross, can't pass, can't shoot... but works hard. Henderson's another one - labelled as the next Gerrard, by association rather than ability so gets his ticket bought and plonked into the squad! Capello built his England squad around Garreth Barry - to woeful effect, yet at the time Scott Parker was playing well for us, basically carrying the team and was overlooked... get's into the Spurs squad and starts playing for England

John Barnes got a shed load of caps off the back of one and a half good games, Milner is getting a shed load of caps off the back of NO good games!
