I liked the idea of Bilic when we were looking for a new gaffer, and not because of this nonsense about him playing for us, but because he seemed like a clever and up and coming young manager. BUT the more I hear him speak, the more I'm glad we got him, he always seems to REALLY think about his answers, and doesn't just come out with the normal manager-media-bullsh*t-verbal diarrhea. And that's even BEFORE you take into account the Arse and Pool wins!!! :-))

Never rated mcclaren as a manager,had one good season in the dutch league & not bad at derby.But for me not good enough for a higher level.Cant see him lasting the season at newcastle.As for slav,i was happy with the appointment & even happier now!!I especially liked the recent comment -"we parked the bus but left the handbrake off!!"

Some managers just 'feel' right as West Ham managers. Bilic does, Sam didn't, and Maclaren wouldn't have either.
