if we are as serious as the reports then we should get the deal done. weve been asking for a quality striker and imo giroud is one. 19 goals last season despite being the stand in for sanchez. would be a great signing imo.
At 30 he won't have too many seasons in him, but NEXT season is our number one priority. Giroud ticks all the boxes for us: big, rangy striker, generally dependable health, proven goalscorer, would work well with iheanacho IF we can sign him, and even if we didn't he can bring other players like Lanzini and Antonio into the game. It might also mean that Andy Carroll can be used more judiciously, hopefully keeping him fit for at least half a season -- there's a few goals in that if we can do it. In my opinion we need more than just Giroud, but he would be a great signing to get things rolling.
He would be able to fit in very well I think. He scores his share of excellent goals, tap ins and manages to do that with some improvisation at times which takes a cool head in front of goal. This is probably the main reason for his goal tally always being there and there abouts.
an upgrade in our striking dept i just worry if he will be that good for us as bilic does seem to play one upfront rather than two and the work we will get him doing could soon lead to the injury curse.....but thats a worry for when and if he signs.
may have started boogers....according to skybet we are the 6/4 favs to now sign him before the sept deadline!! so i reckon its sullivan on the blower to arsenal "how much do you want for giroud? £20million is the reply mmm will you take £200thousand and a free ann summers catalogue with the final £19.8 million to be paid off over 10years? hello hello hello hello bugger they just hung up on us...but truthfully i just hope if this is one of the players they have targeted then get the bloody job done quicksmart and dont hang it out hoping arsenal will cave by the end of the window because i dont see that happening.
No brainer for me. Available within our realistic price range and would allow us to be a bit flexible on the iheanacho deal. I can't really see what the problem is with the buy out clause, for city to want him he will have to be as good as aguero at least in 2 years!
He wants to keep giroud as he has qualities that arsenal need and said it was unfortunate that he did not play to many games last season...well the only person responsible for that mr wenger was you and your team selection...this just smells of arsenal wanting to up the price as they no we want strikers and with next years world cup giroud needs game time something he will get here more than at arsenal
Looks like Giroud is staying at Arsenal and Batman is staying at Chelski lets hope that this is all a smokescreen to force Sugo's hand cos if thats true that Leaves us Sturridge and Barclay both at the bargain price of 40 mill which I cant see our board going for some how. So better hurry up and negotiate for Ian-acho otherwise its gonna be the same story as last season.I still dont get this buy back clause, lots can happen in 2 seasons Kelachi Ianacho could get injured, he might not fit in, he might settle in London and not want to go back to Manchester but if we dont get a striker we could be under achieving next season and end up with relegation worries we need 2 strikers especially with this seasons fixture list round Christmas so wise up and make ur move
has had talks with the lyon president about a move if reports are to be believed ....rumours truth who can tell but is this another player we are happy to be linked with because it makes us look progressive but in truth we will go for the cheaper option again?
is giroud wants to stay and fight for his place at arsenal...and unless the gooners sign another striker he will not consider his future until mid august at the earliest...move on now i see another bacca saga here so lets get another one on our list crossed off and carry on down until we get to the benni mcarthy list!
