It's all become a joke league

Submitted by VAR on Sun, 01/03/2026 - 09:31

It's come to this. We look at fixtures like Liverpool away, arsenal away, man c away....and every season we write them off before we kick a ball.

It's reality, we can't compete. Like a lot of others.

But why? How did these clubs get to be the chosen elite? When did we get left behind? Newcastle, with the richest owners...can't compete.

The rules about finances have been rigged to suit the elite. Even if we got rid of the owners, got a flash cash billionaire we'd still end up only like forest.

Premierleague is rotten. The football is dire. We need la liga to become the new premier league and start taking the best players. Let the Premier league crumble like serie A did.

Maybe then we'd see something that the fans deserve to see.

That is why and it is nothing new in football..way back when the champions league was just the European cup and only the winners of there leagues played nobody complained but when AC Milan failed to qualify they thought hey that is not right and so the seeds of what is now the champions league were sown.

So like i put in another post does it really bother you if we are relegated what would change? yes we lose all the big name players and high earners but whilst we have them we are doing nothing anyway and certainly not worrying the champions league places in my lifetime or many younger fans lifetimes either....so we go down it is nothing new and with the debt we have we may not come back for a long time but even if we did nothing would change as we would be restricted on who we can buy and the closed shop that Manure/Citeh/Bindippers/Chelski/Gooners have created will just buy up the better players for there reserve squads .
Football is a very different game to when i grew up and with VAR and all that cobblers it has very much sold its soul to the Corporate businesses of today and as a spectacle it is not as good IMO

Expertly summed up guys. I remember when the first influx of foreign players came in after the 1978 World Cup. Mainly Argentinians and Dutch players. Then they seemed to dwindle away. I used to like a line up of 1 to 11 of names that were at least British.

I don't know if it will ever change for the good again? I certainly doubt it, mores the pity!!
