Come on people what were you expecting - perfection overnight? We have a new boss pationate for the club, new players who so far are looking good (I know new goalkeeper looks a it suspect but so did Adrian when he started.) Payet is exciting and the youngsters are doing a good job when asked to play. Yes we have the drudges from the BFS days but I'm sure there playing time will diminish as the new players come on board and everyone gets fit. Last nights performance was just typical West Ham , we are used to it. I for one have faith in Billic and we have plenty of time before the end of the transfer window to get a few more players in. I'm excited about this season. Come on everyone the future is bright the future is Claret and Blue West Ham style. COYI.......!

I think people are just a bit down today after only drawing a game we seemed like winning easily, and after Valencia's injury. I still think we will win in Romania. Sounds like Raul Jiménez coming in on loan, which must leave enough cash to get a proper Downing replacement, and hopefully young Halilovic.

Quite gutted with the result last night. Still up for it. The tie is not over yet. 0 - 1 Lanzini i the return leg and we will all face Arsenal with a smile. COYIs

Bully agree. If we play like before the expulsion Collins, with the return of Sakho and Ried in central defense we can win. The important to keep calm and not fall into provocations, Bilic will have to work a lot even on this. I am confident COYI

5 games against crap sides and nothing convincing to date? Professional footballers that have played at a much higher level should make a difference from a possession, fitness and professional level. Lets hope it comes together next week but lets also remember that the tie should have been made more comfortable and that we play Arsenal 3 days later in the PL. It is disappointing from our team to date, and there's no excuses as far as I'm concerned. Keep the faith and move on....

A fair summary I think ANTKB, I think the result on Thursday has made team selection for the away leg a nightmare with the Arsenal game only a few days later, it seems that we're at least playing a little better for short periods but I think we're going to struggle for the first few games of the Premiership, new systems, lots of new players and now an injury to one of our first team in an area where we're already short on numbers, along with the fact that we still have the self destruct button that we can't seem to sort out

Yes hoping Billic can disconnect the self district button somehow because the potential is there for us to do well this season. Obviously with Valencias injures we now need a couple of new front men more than ever.

Don't really disagree with any of that, except that while our first 2 opponents should've been despatched more easily, Astra are another kettle of fish entirely: we might never hear about Romanian football, but last year they knocked Lyon out, and Lyon were second in Ligue1 only to PSG. Astra are NOT a crap side, but a professional and experienced team.

Is it true that the supporters club has booked 300 tickets for the game in Romania but 2000 for the trip home?
