Modric

if as the general consensus seems Bilic is our new manager, what are the thoughts on a move to lure Modric to upton park? i'm tired of hearing of our 'big' signings that never happen….this could be the sort of move that makes a statement. Modric obviously because he has the croatian link, has played premier league before, would suit the 'diamond' perfectly and with benitez arriving at real, he isn't really a benitez type player perhaps? your thoughts?

Talented and versatile mid-fielder, just what we need. But didn't Real pay a lot for him? Would be a brilliant signing IF he would move from Madrid, and IF we could afford him.

I was thinking the same a couple of days ago,if bilic does become our manager,& its looking likely, would we be able to attract the likes of modric who has played under him for croatia.A big ask,but maybe with the lure of the O.S it might just swing it in our favour..heres hoping....

Possibly, but being an International Manager is more of a hindrance to club managers as a rule. I think he may have an influence over players nearing the end of their contracts. But if they are tied in he'd have little chance. Would politely be told to go forth and multiply I suspect...

If we could offload Carroll that would be a majority of his wages covered, fantastic player but I'd doubt we'd be on our own trying to get him, I would think one of the top 4 would take him given the chance
