obiang and emenike

Did anyone see the whole game last night? Be it at the game or a stream. Both emenike and obiang have been mentioned on other forums as having great games with the latter nominated as motm. So what's the general opinion on here to their performances?

I can't speak for yesterday but obiang is one of those players that doesn't easily get noticed. He will never do anything that easily catches ur eye but if you watch him as a dm you will see a lot of excellent play from him crucial to the teams play. To think he is only 23 is great

Yeah its funny you mention that because I was going to say - he is one of those players who's very difficult to track across the pitch and seems quite anonymous during play but I didn't want it to sound like I was doing him a discredit

When the team was announced before last nights game,i was really pleased he was picked to start,he is part of that engine room in the middle with noble & kouyate...its so good to say that we have one hell of a team!!

TBH I thought Cresswell did dreally well too. Antonio put in another massive shift at RB. I think that boy would play in goal just to play, and it's refreshing. Obiang and Noble played really well. Although at the end of the game they overplayed a bit sometimes, maybe the pressure to impress was there? Kouyate looked great as the 3rd centre back and I liked the balance. Kane didn't get a sniff (pardon the pun) and we controlled the game for long spells.

to ray wilkins this morning and he was saying what a good player he is.....does the graft allowing players like payet lanzini to create the chances....and he's the reason songs not getting much footy.....

As good as Kouyate was. I couldnt decide between Obiang and Noble for Man of the Match. Both of them were incredible last night absolutely dominated the midfield. Said a while back that I wasn't sure about Obiang but also said before hes a natural CDM but now im totally convinced him and nobes are quality as a pairing. Looks like him and Oxford are both ahead of song now and rightfully so. Also its a crime Noble hasn't had 1 england cap, when the likes of Ryan Mason, Dier and Alli all have caps. Mason especially is utter tripe when ever ive seen him.

Was delighted he signed for us back in the summer, and surprised he didn't get some earlier game time, but the way the team was playing, he was hard to leave anyone out. Last night he was right there every time he was needed. Lost count of the number of potential attacks he broke up. Great in the tackle and alongside Noble you saw a midfield performance that was as dominant as any I've seen for a while. Almost like we had an extra man as the Spuds just could not get into gear. I was disappointed it was only 1 goal as we definately should have got more and 1 always shreds the nerves.
