Does anyone else feel a bit sorry for him ?, there he was happy trundling along with Brighton ,getting noticed by the big boys and all of a sudden Chelsea come a calling ,can you imagine what he would look like if he turned them down ?, he would loose a lot of cred ,you just don't give them the middle finger , he would have been called all sorts of a coward ,he must have known he would be way out of his depth ,now he'll be lucky to get a mediocre club in the chumps ,I've always prided myself with being a good judge of character , and he seems like a genuine good bloke to me , may not be the sharpest knife in the draw where football is concerned but he didn't deserve this treatment ,he's proberbly sitting at home saying to himself "Jesus, what have i done ", almost every club in the bottom half have sacked their maneger's this season ,except us ,our board are happy with sleepwalking us into oblivion .
not actually true New Burkie.
not actually true New Burkie. Rumour has it Leicester immediately offered him the job.
He's still a good guy and I have consistently said you need the right horse for the right course. Chavski was never a fit but West Ham would be perfect for him.
Chelski
A poisoned chalice! They want instant success & I thought at the time that Potter wasn't the right fit..I'm with Dartford I also think he could be really good for us
I'm not sure the perfect
I'm not sure the perfect manager exists with Sullivan in charge. The sooner him and Moyes are on their way come end of season the better. Only then can we start to look at rebuilding this club. That needs to be in the Premier League. Dropping down to the Championship would be a horrendous result. Make no mistake though, although I believe we'll stay up we're not safe yet by any stretch and Moyes needs to find another rabbit as the one he keeps pulling out of the hat has fuckin had it!
In the words of Monty Python
In the words of Monty Python ... Its a dead rabbit, its deceased
Lol
Nice 1 Dartford, never a truer word spoke mate
if he
wasn't nailed to the bench he'd be pushing up the daisies
Appointed in September gone in April
£13 million payoff so errr no Burkie i don't fel sorry for him and ultimately and in hindsight he should never of taken the job but who would turn it down the money secures you and your family for life and i think it was the players and that dumb American owner splurging cash like theres no tomorrow who actually gave Potter his problems....he will get another club easy in the summer but will it be us? not sure but Feel sorry for him nope the industry he works in we all know the bullets coming unless its Moyes of course!!..
I dont think its just about
I dont think its just about money bike ,managers today have no money problems ,there all millionaires anyway , im sure he and his family will be financially sound ,its a case of pride in what you do ,everybody wants to a success and no one wants to be a failure.
What is noteable
Is how much Brighton have improved since he's left. Potter must have been holding them back all this time.
They did well with him and
They did well with him and the new guy is still getting them to punch above their weights even with a number of transfers leaving. Bugeyes has taken Heavy Weights and made them look like bantamweights!
I think I'd rather have Harry
I think I'd rather have Harry Potter and his wizards sleeve. I want Dino gone ASAP but the right replacement, I don't think it's him...
Pay the money
And get Thomas Franks. Just for the way he sets his teams out to play. When they're on the attack he'll have five or six players in the box, unlike Moyes with a lone Bowen crossing into an empty one.
the position we are in
The question is why would any manager want the job at this point of the season? gunners manure bindippers Leeds last home games Fulham Bournemouth Palace Citeh Leicester away i honestly do not see us winning one game from now till the season closes.
could always
ask frank Lampard to rescue us!!!!whoops to late chavski beat us to it, no change there then
