Rumours, newspapers, web sites and other rubbish

The season is ending with a whimper, with us all in a state of uncertainty as to who our manager will be for next season.

One newspaper makes one assertion, based on... well nothing much it would appear. Another newspaper says something quite different, based on... nothing attributable to anyone.

Somebody knows somebody who knows the brother of the girl friend of...

We all buy into whatever we want to hear.

Web sites copy outrageously, sometimes even reproducing spelling mistakes, let alone unprovable "facts."

'Factoids' grow and assume the solidity of proven hard evidence, when frequently they are little more than dim mirages that vanish at the slightest breath of wind.

It seems to me that no bugger knows a damn thing.

No one knows anything we are just all guessing, and the ones who are guessing most are the Media.

Website Claret and Hugh which has built up a big following puts out story after story about Sam going, why he should or why he is. It may be the case but Hugh Sothen, by his own admission, can't stand Sam and wants him out. There is definitely an agenda there and much of the news is led from 2-3 sites like that. As you say Bully, nobody really has a clue. I just want the season to end and some certainty to replace all the speculation, which is damaging us in my opinion

One can only speculate when you have an inept board like we have! Thankfully Allardyce has said he is going and will not accept another contract! So the fumbling bumbling SUGO & Co don't have to publicly say what most of us already knew! Let's face it! Those of us who love West Ham because of the way we have played until 4 years ago hate Allardyce and always will (that's about 90% of us). The rest don't count in my book! they just want results at any cost!
The new manager (and he is not Redknapp) will have a difficult job especially if we enter Europe by fair play but what a breath of fresh air it will be with our new signings and more to come hopefully being given a more attacking role and not a negative boring defensive role which has seen the likes of Poyet not getting a game, Nene cameo roles, etc, :-)

Yet elsewhere Allardyce is reported to have "rejected nothing!" I'm afraid that these days little or nothing one reads in the newspapers (and not just the tabloids) or on the Internet can be relied upon. Today I read that Rafa Benitez is odd on with the bookies to be our next manager, but I'm willing to bet it wouldn't take much money going onto somebody else to violently change those odds! Because the bookies don't know any more than we do.
I can't stand the waiting!! LOL

And I agree NOT Twitcher!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bondsy I didn't know that you was a fan of Avram Grant and the wonderful football we played 4 years ago when we were relegated or was it the wonderful football played undeer Glen Roeder when we were relegated or the wonderful football played under Alan Pardew when we were nearly relegated but we were saved by more wonderful football under Alan Curbishley! It is easy to criticise Sam but he did what was asked, he got us up at the first attempt and has kept us up. The rumour is that the Board offered him a new contract and he has turned it down. He will have no shortage of offers while we are looking at the likes of Steve McLaren. My prediction is that if Sam goes, next season will be very difficult.

"I've done what I was asked to do here as manager – which was to deliver a team that, this time round, has not only been the MOST SUCCESSFUL BUT THE MOST ENTERTAINING, THE MOST THRILLING," he told reporters.
I can't imagine what he must think of as dour, boring, and mind-numbing then after sleeping away most of 2015! Heard it all now
