Not all that keen on Nasri, I think he is another over the hill player and I just hope he doesn't cause too much trouble. I can imagine him and Arnaughtovic getting at it, both with big egos, he was an ok player on his day for Gunners and Citeh and always played well against us but i think he could end up like Ezra -one last payday complete waste of money and not a good replacement for Yarmalenko although Pellegrini must Know his pedigree, but I'd sooner we searched around, and he ain't worth the aggro. Its reported that the deal has hit a snag allready so perhaps he has failed his medical. I hope so.

This is unbelievable,I really am starting to question Pells thinking ,unlike most on here I'm not a fan of Snodgrass imo he hasn't got the skill factor ,there's no question about his heart he will run all day ,just not prem material ,Pell thinks the world of him .
Recent signings leave a lot to be desired ,Wheelchair ,Perez and now Nasri , you'll have to hold a bus pass soon to play for West ham

Every good team needs a water carrier. Not only that he has the best cross from open play in the squad. Not world class but more to him than people give him credit for. Players like him allow players like Anderson do their stuff.

You know my opinions on snodgrass but atm hes earned his place in the team and is playing well. The only worrying me is Obiang, he was once again absolutely dreadful vs huddersfield. We do have an issue that we need a ball player in the middle 3 though, and all 3 and this includes rice have awful ball control and struggle to keep possession.

I have to say Fred I'm just not getting the last few lines of your post ,are you saying Rice's has awful ball control and that he struggles to keep possession?.
I know he's originally a C B but he plays this new roll (protecting the back line ) magnificently it would be a big risk moving him further up

Tbf I shouldv'e explained. Im not saying rice is a poor midfielder and the awful ball control and possesion comments were more aimed at snodgrass and Obiang. Its just in terms of Rice's movements, the way he is on the ball, he doesn't look like a natural midfielder, he looks like a center back playing in midfield. I like him and hes got a big future but watch him closely and you will see what I mean. Midfield is good for him while he develops as it will quicken his feet but his future will be at center back as its his best position.

Don't agree mate.Rice has great balance. Rarely disposessed. Quick change of direction. Great tackle on him. Reads game well. Surprisingly quick for a big fella. Messed up a little at Huddersfield for their goal but rarely does. Great passer, great vision, switches play beautifully. Love him as he is he will only get better.

His defensive qualities arent in question. But that goal at huddersfield isnt the first time hes been caught out like that , in fact it happened multiple times in that one game. Rice is good, potentially world class, but the way he moves the way he controls the ball, is that of a center back.

To be fair there isn't much differance between centre back and defensive midfield. As an out right standard midfielder I can see Fred's point. But as a defensive midfielder rice is actually almost spot on. There will be ups and downs at times but for me he's a natural that could easily end up being a regular at a champions league team in the prem if he carries on developing as he is. Centre back? I'd now only ever use him there if we have injuries.

That there are concerns about his fitness and that he may not be up to scratch until January. If that's the case then deal off.

He'll get fit then get injured for the rest of his 6mth deal and join the ever presents in the Andy Carroll Memorial wing of the Keiran Dyer hospital. Nice work if you can get it

Don't get it - they should be spending their time nailing down Declan Rices contract and giving him decent wages, he's only on about 4k a week. Ridiculous, Nasris just a greasy prima dona (over the hill at that).

That's good Mac. If Teresa may is looking for a last pay day we will need to get in there quick as I've just heard, fredricks has been ruled out for 3 months. I'm not sure she will cut it in the prem tho. Seems like she will just get pushed around

Pell knows Football and knows Nasri... I trust him. Or, we could get Moyes and Allardyce back...

Hear what you say but I didnt think he will jeopardise his nice new job for the sake of a few buddies. I think we need to trust him and give him our support. The quality of football much better than Moyes and Allardyce and I predict his second season, with another 2 transfer windows, will be even better!

MP must be pulling half his wages for the deal to go through. How else could a player of his age and lack of fitness ever get a deal over the line?
Boad of Lollocks in my humble opinion and leave well alone...plenty of other players for sale at a fraction of the price...
