we all have them and swear they work even when they don't! but whats yours? one of mine is regarding when west ham play and I cannot get to a game unless I hear news about the match from the start or I watch soccer Saturday(I no shoot me!)from the kickoff I will not dare jinx my beloved hammers by turning the radio/tv on because to many times the moment I do that you hear goaaaaal and its either a last gasp winner/equaliser by the opposition so by not listening and only turning on to see/hear the final result I feel I maybe am in someway not jinxing the team...stupid I no and its agony thinking about whats going on at the match when all you have to do is log on or turn tv/radio to get the news but like I said to many times for it surely to be a coincidence I have done that only for it to go pear shaped for west ham.....nutter my better half calls me when I do it and yeah she's probably right but I just cannot take the chance!

My silly ritual is quite simply, my West Ham scarf. I watch/listen to games at home now a days as my son plays football for Winchester and I just can't miss him. (nice bloke Jeff Stelling's son plays in goal for the u16's, a year below). I sleep on my scarf, putting it carefully on my pillow at night. I wear it all day long even if I'm watching us through live streaming on the mac it'll be 'round my neck. I've had this scarf for a few years now and take it everywhere I go, holidays included. It's Claret and blue with white so there's no confusion with the other also-ran's. I suppose more than a ritual, it's my obsession.
