Slaven Bilic

Slaven Bilic says his team’s performances against Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace last week show how strong the Hammers’ spirit is – even if a late blow at Selhurst Park meant two points slipped through their grasp.

The Hammers looked set for a second away win in four days as goals from Chicharito and Andre Ayew put them 2-0 up at Crystal Palace, but a second half fightback – with Wilfried Zaha’s leveller coming from the final kick of the game – left a sour taste in the visitors’ mouths.

However, with a home match against Liverpool to focus on now, Bilic is keen to dwell on the positive aspects of the team’s response to that defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion last time out in E20.

The manager said: "Joe Hart was excellent, he was great on Saturday, so we had a great goalkeeper, we had a 2-0 lead with the two strikers scoring very beautiful goals.

The team is giving its best, it has showed a lot of energy, spirit and togetherness

Defence has been a bugbear,we threw the game away 2nd half it's has simple as that, and we must stop giving penalties away, that's 5pts dropped away for panicking in the box,we should at least be 9th now on 14pts, above Southampton, and 11pts clear of palace.

He don't give a toss now,he knows he is a dead man walking, why should he stress out knowing his future is not at Westham,he can't change anything. As long as he don't walk he knows he will still get paid until his contract runs out. It's the dumb arse board who will be stressing out now, with relegation dogfight now looking likely, and their future plans in jeopardy.Nobody else to blame but the board, they have a history of letting things ride and suffering the consequences.Looking at the fixture list coming up,it does not look good, there will be some more Westham maulings for sure,I dread to think where we will be come the new year .If they cannot find a top manager now ,its pointless bringing in another average Joe ,with no pedigree,it will be the same story, should focus now on appointing a caretaker manager(Hiddink),until a quality manager becomes available.Keeping Bilic in charge will be the worse case scenario,it will definitely be more of the same with relegation a real possibility.

It is true, we did a great second time against Spurs, but in the first half we were terrible. Against Palace we threw the game off, giving them the draw, we were not able to win that match, so there's nothing to be happy about.

are not fit enough, been saying it for ages. You can not play at this level and win unless you can run your hart out for 90 minutes, all the skill in the world will not help.

Of course the team is not fit enough, this has been going on now into a second season it's pathetic. Anyone who has played football knows as you tire your tank is empty you make more mistakes as an individual. Anyone how asks why me make so many mistakes in the second half and lose games in the last few minutes should look no further than this simple reason. They are switching off because they are knackered in the legs and the head! How can no one at the club see it! It's embarrassing.
