I stand by opinions and I hold my hands up when I'm proven wrong but I'm normally close to the mark when it comes to forwards, and he is not a PL player. As a pairing with Sakho it worked as he put defenders under pressure which allowed for openings for Sakho but ability and strength wise he's not good enough. Why look to shoot from impossible angles and distances? especially as a professional? How many times have we seen this from him and at some point you would hope that he would get it but after tonight's game I'm not holding my breath. It's so obvious what he is looking to do, turn onto the right peg with my head down and shoot. Is it me or does it look like he thinks the strike v Hull will happen for him every time? Lovely if you could but you can't, and being a forward at the highest level requires so much more than what he possess or offers to the Team. Agree/Disagree?
I tried giving him a chance
I tried giving him a chance as he spent alot of time injured. But today was the final straw for me, all this talk about Carroll needed to shipped out and how hes an impact sub at best but in my opinion Its the other way round. Enner is a good impact sub because against tired defences he gets away with his poor first touch, and awful ball control. Zarate was greedy but at least he had a very good shot on him. Enner does have a very good finish but only under no pressure. At least Carroll can make the ball stick up the other end.
I don't think enner is as bad
I don't think enner is as bad as some make out BUT I do find myself wondering where he fits in nicely into our formation. IMO he needs to be with sakho upfront as they complement each other they create space for each other and others. Having said that if an offer comes in decent enough at least what we bought him for we should consider it, but getting decent strikers in of any kind wasn't easy for any club last season.
cannot disagree
at all...when he played well last season and chelski rumoured to be interested and £25million rumoured I said then snatch there hand off......but he was so bad yesterday but not the only one by far.....like you say shooting from stupid positions no real team play.....I hope we sell him in the summer and then use the money and wages freed up wisely
Valencia did not have a good
Valencia did not have a good game yesterday. But he wasn't the only one. We cannot expect to win every game, but we would have to hold our hands up and say against 10 men we were not good enough. When Valencia is bang at it, he's a world beater, but when he's off his game like against Southampton, it's magnified.
Problem is he tends to have
Problem is he tends to have more bad games than good.
Have we seen him being a 'World Beater'?
I haven't seen him have many good games, and a lot of the time he gets knocked off the ball far too easily or he gets hit by a fair challenge and he struggles to cope with it? Sakho over Valencia any day for me.
