What are your thoughts on the building of the London stadium? Has atmosphere been lost? Was it the right move? Or should Upton Park have been expanded?
Here is a link to the survey. Thanks in advance. https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/TDXLRXR
This is for my dissertation at university and looks at whether it is more beneficial for football clubs to expand and redevelop their current stadiums such as Liverpool and Man United have done. Move to a new stadium like West Ham. Or construct a new stadium such as Arsenal, and soon to be Chelsea and Tottenham.

Thanks in advance for all those who take park.
Feel free to talk about it in the comments.
I think
I think it was a bad move, expand Upton Park was the best solution. Upton Park was our home.
Redevelopment would have cost
Redevelopment would have cost a fortune indeed far more than the club invested in the LS. Like any change it takes time. I would like to see the fans closer to the pitch then again The East Stand at the Boleyn was quite far from the pitch. Good sight lines and I do feel that given anther season we will see a great improvement on the present one.
Personally I feel a necessary
Personally I feel a necessary evil. We couldn't expand altho it would have been best and there was no way we could afford a purpose built one. Probably the best option but I like most was happy with the size of the stadium we had. Rightly the board wanted progression for the club but I'm sure the fans feel conned this season on that front. At West Ham the problems at the club since the move run a lot deeper than just a different stadium. More like everyone at the club out of their depth with what is needed.
Right Move
its had its teething problems but I think its a super stadium and in a few years time we will look back and wonder why we had any doubts. As previously said I remember a number of occasions at UP when the atmosphere was non existent and at times dam right toxic. I will cherish the good memories, play off semi's, promotion, quarter final against Villa, Friday night Christmas experiment against Cambridge and my all time favourite the semi in the ECWC V Frankfurt. But.... Im convinced we have better times to come with 50 odd thousand fans cheering us on...COYI's!!!!!!!!!!!1
Great memories indeed
I hope you are right with regard the teething problems and that we do all eventually embrace the new stadium.
In the long term it will
In the long term it will prove to have been the right move.
It is what it is!!
Theres no going back so just have to make the most of the new stadium...one thing i dont like is the Re-branding,but its out of our hands,so if we want to watch our team we have to put up with it!!!
I hate the rebranding! Far
I hate the rebranding! Far worse than the stadium
Just an exercise in how to
Just an exercise in how to treble your stock
Athletics stadium
But maybe not for much longer as the owners are baulking at the cost of putting the stadium into Athletics mode is apparently eight million pounds and they had originally budgeted three hundred thousand pounds for this lol, so they are going to try and get them moved to Birmingham where they have a purpose built twelve thousand capacity Athletics stadium.it would mean that they give up there 50 year option for Athletics at the stadium interesting times ahead
agree Hammergirl, I always
agree Hammergirl, I always said the authorities will tire with the continuous cost of running the stadium and the porn twins will pick it up for a song just to get it off their hands. It was ridiculous to think that "normal" athletics meetings could fill a stadium, just doesn't have the spectator appeal. The LS would have ended up a white elephant in our borough just like most of the global Olympic venues :o(
agree
just some torchbearers like Coe banging on about legacy; wish they hadn't stood in the way of a complete football redevelopment, but hey, if it had gone that way, Tottenham probably would've got the ground.
Did I read somewhere
Did I read somewhere yesterday that Athletics might end there in 2019 and move to Birmingham and so allow the stadium to be developed into a proper football stadium regarding fans being nearer the pitch.
Racist
Why does a survey has to be called a "monkey"? That's just racist. Should be ashamed of yourself.
