I think the writing was on the wall for this game and probably the rest of the season taking a nosedive, with the Sakho-Bilic fiasco, leaving a nasty after-taste.What a time for it to happen ,just before the most crucial game of the season, leaving our best striker in limbo.I'm not a Carroll knocker,I like the guy,but this game was ideal for Sakho and Valencia with their movement and pace.Instead we get a target man with no service and left high and dry for most of the game.Westham were second best for much of the game ,only the last 20 minutes or so did they begin to move up a gear.I don't know the full story behind the row, but surely Bilic should have not allowed his own pride to get in the way of the clubs interests at such a crunch time.I'm really annoyed with this situation, the way Bilic has handled it allowing it to fester and blow our season out of the water......absolutely gutted,to say the least,I thought this was our year.

Got his tactics spot on as our two most effective players were poor and didn't get a look in, one being subbed in the process. As for Valencia? Said it on here a million times that he is never a PL player and after tonight's embarrassing performance I hope others wake up and smell the coffee! How much did we pay for him? The worst performance since Bournemouth at home in my opinion.

Yes good post .. I agree with you .. I'm not blaming Carroll but it looked like our lads had forgot he was on the Pitch for around the first 65 minutes or so of the game .. If we are playing Carroll in the starting lineup he needs plenty of Crosses otherwise we are carrying him .. Personally tonight I would have started with Eminike obviously Sakho if Fit and bought Carroll on sometime in the 2nd Half .. I still like the Sakho/Valencia partnership but do also have to admit Valencia isn't quite looking the same Player since his bad Injury .. We were just not fully revved up for it tonight for some unknown reason .. Plus I wouldn't mind a "Pound" for everytime we gave the Ball away during the game .. I'm like everyone else very disappointed tonight but to date it's still been a Great Season for us at West Ham filled with lots of Entertaining Quality Football and "imo" we also now have a Very Good Manager !

Don't want to slam the team for their under par performance, Manure were better on the night, but Enner had two very good chances to get on the score sheet and both efforts were hit with the power of a 10yr old. Coupled with the ease in which he's knocked off the ball and I think his time is done for us. Move him on and use the money wisely for a replacement.
also feel that Antonio's RB experiment has run it's course. He's done ok there, but is not a full back and is better utilised further up the pitch where is power and pace worry the opposing defenders.
We had our chances tonight but conceded two poor goals and only played to our forwards strengths in the last 20mins really. Gutted to be out, can't help but feel the Arsenal game took a bit too much out of us at this stage and Manure's much easier game on the weekend when they gave up after the 1st Spud goal went in aided them.
Anyway, the season is not a write off. We are still in the hunt for a European place and as long as Manc City don't win the CL it could be the big one.

Not everyone's cup of tea and tbh far too shite for a Utd team, but as soon as I saw him in the line up I had a feeling he'd have a negative impact for us. His goal basically hit him in the knee and went in. No talent required which suited him down to the ground!
Slav once again honest enough to say they were the better team on the night, but the bad decisions in the first game have cost us a wembley semi. Got to wonder now if any of the other woeful decisions lately are gonna bite us in the arse in terms of our league position now.

Bilic has come out and said he is disappointed with our defending against arsenal and Man Utd. No sh1t! But apparently not disappointed enough to do anything about it on Wednesday.

But our performance until the last 20 minutes was terrible. It's not being negative admitting we played badly as our manager agrees. What's frustrating is that the players didn't seem up for it (what happened to fortress Upton Park ) and our manager did nothing to try and change anything. People are frustrated more than being negative.

Spot on Harry frustrated not negative. I'm sure can all agree we are not calling for Slavs head. For me it's just opened a Box we have never had before. Normally we don't have options on the bench too change or improve things Wednesday we did have but chose to not use it properly! If we want top four we must lean on our subs better than that for any games not panning out as Slav wishes.
