Rumours abound that Tevez could be making a return to the Boleyn in the Summer if juventus sign Paulo Dybala but at 31 is this really a good idea? Whilst I am sure he still has the goal scoring ability surely this is a backward step?

He won't be joining us but i nthe scenario that it was a possibility how on earth could it be a backwards step signing a world class striker?

So your saying if we could sign a 31 year old messi you wouldnt take him because we shouldnt be buying 31 year old strikers.

Messi is 28 this year and none of us know how he will be playing in 3 years time. That said there may be exceptions to the rule if that 31 year old was to be as good as Messi is now which Tevez certainly is not. If we were to sign Tevez it would no doubt be for a high price and high Salary. How many years are we going to get out of him ?

I know hes 28 but i was speaking of the basic of if he was 31. Tevez may not be as good as messi but a 35 year old tevez would be better than anything we currently have.

In his interview when they played that friendly over here last summer he made it pretty clear h wouldn't be back. But yes, if he didn't want crazy money, I'd certainly have him back.

He is quality, still be a real asset especially in a decent side with good players around. He would also get the place absolutely buzzing, the club lacks a player that the fans really buzz about. He won't come though, probably end up in the USA.

Definitely the sort of player we need to excite the crowd, shame we was just a stepping stone for him and he was just putting himself in the window!

I think the EU are trying to outlaw the kind of ownership that saw us fined so much. I remember thinking at the time that this "owning a player" sounded like a form of slavery to me, and that if tested in English law would probably not stand up! I still think we should get our money back!!!

if only to show two fingers to the EPL, the FA, Lord Balderdash, and Sh*tfield United. We survived. And we have more and better still to come.

I have no idea why anyone wouldn't welcome him back with open arms as he is still a class act and gives 100%, unlike so many of the overpaid shite we see today. A proven quality at the highest level and we hardly have anything coming through the academy lately to be excited about, so why not?

Ive got to be honest ANTKB I know everyones got opinions but it worries me when fans say they wouldnt take a player like tevez back if it was possible. How anyone can say no to him is beyond ridiculous, why would you not want a player whos still scoring goals at the highest level in europe.

The guy will give you at least 2-3 more years of effort, talent and experience. Priceless in my opinion, and to think a number of people thought that Maiga was fantastic after his goal against Southampton lol

Would be a problem possibly but we can only hope he would return for his love of the fans, and still £80-100k a week and worth every penny if you think we are paying £40k for Maiga and £100k for Carroll?

I think it is a no brainer really, I would take him back in a heartbeat, the fans still hold him in high regard and I think he would be a great influence on younger strikers and certainly help bring out the best in our current crop with everyone having to raise his game and compete for a place in the side and that for me is a big plus!
