Sporting Lisbon are willing to accept HALF of the supposed €20 Million release clause in their manager's contract, contrary to the reports all over the British media. However there will be NO confirmed movement until Sporting have completed their season and wrapped up another top of the table finish, which would be their THIRD in a row!

"The lengthy International break for the World Cup preceded the mid season arrival of Julen Lopetegui who had been brought in to replace Bruno Lage at Wolves, it enabled him to have a mini pre-season to implement his ideas, which had guided Sevilla to a Europa League trophy and three consecutive top-four finishes".

David Moyes has effectively managed to get Tim Steidten BANNED from the Stratford Stadium and from the club's training ground until the end of the season, or that is according to a flurry of Press reports and shady denials.

In a way Moyes cannot be blamed for wanting the German out of his sight, the Hammers manager probably feels he deserves better than to see his 'chief tormentor' on a daily basis in and around the dressing room and training facilities on a daily basis.

West Ham United were famous for their 'scatter gun' approach to signing strikers before the arrival of Tim Steidten, however his balanced and intuitive approach doesn't seem to have been adopted when it comes to replacing David Moyes!

Instead of the 'Steidten way' of getting things done quickly with the minimum amount of fuss and 'public' sharing, the search for a new manager has become the exact antipathies of the Steidten way.

David Moyes takes his battle weary troops across London to Selhurst Park to face a Palace team rejuvenated by the arrival of manager Oliver Glasner who replaced the ageing Roy Hodgon mid season.

Austrian Glasner was most recently in charge of Eintracht Frankfurt before leaving the Bundesliga club last summer so he and Moyes have already clashed in European competition. Their encounter was 'feisty' to say the least, so perhaps there will be a little more passion shown by the dour Scot on the touch line!
