I know so little about this West Ham team I barley deserve an opinion, but reading on KUMB that half the W H girls team are walking out. But seems like their results were not that great maybe it's a good thing? Question, aren't the ladies on contracts to too? Maybe they are not worth the paper they are written on. With poor results perhaps Stacy Little has a point? But the other five players walking out does not seem professional to me. Seems reactionary. This is the equivalent of Caroll, Noble walking out when Kevin left!.

Anyone on this site follow the ladies team? What are your thoughts? Please be PC with comments..... I'm not sure if there is even a link on the OS to the girls team? Going to check now... I'm ashamed to say that I don't even know if any of our girls made the national squad in the last World Cup, during an international break I'd watch our girls on WHUTV..

Florida I don't know but I'd say no one was involved in the women's World Cup the team is definately not in the top division and I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't in the second either. I read a bit about the trouble and quite honestly altho they may have a point if that is the way they behave then how can the expect to be taken seriously? Little was quoted as feeling hurt when the manager didn't take on board what she said and another player the vice captain I think, kicked the ball at the manager in anger! Doubt they are on contracts but are acting worse than amateurs. And women wonder why they ain't taken seriously in the game!

Interesting about the funding, I assumed that each Prem team has a ladies team, that were semi pro. The thought that they would be anything less than ladies prem or at least 1st division didn't even cross my mind. Agreed the behavior is not acceptable. But if they are linked to west ham, surly having a division 2 team is not acceptable... from a branding standpoint alone using a hammers logo. When we buy tickets we are encouraged or in some cases have to contribute to the academy, could there be an opportunity to contribute. Im sure if I really wanted to contribute to the Girls game I could find a way. I guess what I'm trying to articulate as a WHU supporter I am not sure how I feel about OUR Ladies team being sub par when millions are being wasted. Think what we wasted in Alfmontano (sp). If that could have been avoided could a couple of hundred thousand be put in the ladies team. Is this an opportunity for West Ham, as a club to place value on the women's team, again even as PR exercise. The two Davids don't exactly have a great track record when it comes to female exploitation, this would be a great opportunity to show they have modern up to date, more female equality views.. Funding is a drop in the ocean..

I am now thinking how other prem league teams value their ladies team.

Apparently the club has tried to take charge of the ladies team -- most recently this summer -- but failed. Don't know how hard they tried... But agree, if only for PR reasons, we should do so, and get them run properly. Women's football is on the up, and if it brings more young girls into the club it surely has to be worth the investment.

SUGO and Bradey are not interested in a Ladies Team and after a weak attempt at offering to fund it with a paltry sum a few months ago (which was turned down) the West Ham Ladies are still a seperate team/organisation from WHUFC
It's a shame because they are non paid amateurs who Julian got to their version of the FA Cup final and a mid table finish. The guy who took over Marc Nurse has illusions of Grandeur imo and has only managed one win in five games and upset a lot of the team by constantly changing roles and basically confusing the players!

A D Bonds

From what I've read over the past couple of days the team have not been happy with the managers tactics, formations etc which then came to a head after a recent loss when the vice capt and manager had a lively discussion in the changing room which led to the vice capt leathering the ball at the manager, she then asked him to leave because they wanted to get changed and the capt also had to get involved. In the evening after the game the manager text the vice capt to tell her that she was going to be released for disciplinary reasons, the manager also held a team meeting where he excluded the captain, I'm guessing because he thought she was a disruptive influence, the capt then takes to Twitter moaning about how she's been treated and slagging off the manager, she then says she's leaving the club along with the vice capt, 3 or 4 others have also said they will leave in protest. For me it all makes the ladies team look tinpot and unprofessional, I'd also question the professionalism of the vice capt and capt, but because of the power of social media the manager and club chairman is taking a bombardment of abuse from West Ham fans because the capt is leaving. I'm not sure if they are under contract, they don't seem to play other 'big clubs' ladies teams so I'm guessing it's all a bit amateur

I hope these type of situations will wake the entity up!! From the comments on here I am coming to the conclusion they should be a west ham entity, or west ham get their own team. This association is not good - remove them from the OS.
