Our old mate Sam has got a new job, deep down I was daring him to take the Sunderland job he can't do any buying till January and I'm convinced this is one step too far and Sunderland will live with the tag be careful what you wish for. So Nolan will be off there 2 so they can play with 10 men and Morgan maybe? As he's a free agent now. In short if allardyce came knocking in January for Carroll for 7 million would you take it? I think I would as long as he is replaced in the same window
I wouldn't poke his scrotum too much chief
Best to look away and ignore.
Getting back to my point guys
Getting back to my point guys, would anyone take seven million for Carroll if big as. Came knocking in January?
Hurt my feelings there
Would I take £7m for a £30m striker?
No
Carroll is only worth big
Carroll is only worth big money if we can get him in the pitch scoring goals regularly which we can't. 30 million striker is and always has been laughable for carroll
Sometimes it's pretty obvious
Sometimes it's pretty obvious to us fans that Managers lose it big time and however they mix it up and change the team the team keeps losing and at best picks up an odd point here or there! We all saw it when Nolan and then Carroll came back in the team and we only picked up a handful of points in our last 21 games winning just 3 of them.
Nolan will be a starter for Sunderland as soon as he signs and Sunderland will be down to ten men like we were and I'm afraid they will get relegated probably on a record lowest points tally. Sam should have retired but like so many past their sell by date, he does not know it yet!!!
Scrotum shmotum ,Carltons
Scrotum shmotum ,Carltons free
Who cares!
The man is history as far as westham are concerned!Soon as the sunderland job came up i knew he would go there, all that bollox about he needs a break, etc. The mans ego is too big to turn down an offer from a prem club,i neither care if he does well there or not...yes he did a job for westham, but like i say its history...
I think he'll do alright
I think he'll do alright there and I think he'll keep them up, he's the right man at the right time for Sunderland, wouldn't be at all surprised to see them turn us over at home either, good luck to the bloke I say, he did a job for us
Oh chippy my respect for you
Oh chippy my respect for you has plummeted! I see him failing totally now past his sell by date. But will beat us.
I think we have short
I think we have short memories, I've always maintained if he left 12-18 months before he did he'd have been fondly remembered, he does a job to clubs like us, Sunderland, Newcastle, we wouldn't be where we are now without the stability he gave us, we could've been another Leeds Utd
This is where it kicks in
I'm scarred by him. Not scared, scarred.
And not in a bad way either.
He was different and did a job. Like it or not. Lots of us not.
He lost me when he cupped his ear, but damn it, if he kept us up and in there I was willing to swallow shit.
Maybe I'm scarred by years gone by.
I remember Roeder...
Spot on, his arrogance to the
Spot on, his arrogance to the fans did him no favours but on the flip side his arrogance got us back on track, he's a good man manager, with the exception of Morrison I didn't hear one player who had a bad thing to say about him, morale in the squad was always good, he built a team spirit which we never really had, a togetherness, yes it was probably time for change because I don't know that he could take us to the next level but for Sunderland in the predicament that they are in he's the best man for the job IMO
Good luck to him
But not against West ham.
Ah that's better chippy if he
Ah that's better chippy if he left we would have thought better of him. He did a decent job for a couple of years and was medicine we probably needed. On the benefit side for him the daves gave him full supports and money in his first two seasons far more than other championship teams.unfortunately his ego and lack of flexibility has sperceeded his ability. I think the job at Sunderland is even harder than it was at West Ham. He can't rely on Nolan anymore, he can't buy till January and he doesn't have the big physical players he wants at Sunderland, put that together with his recent failings in the transfer market, I believe bondsy has it spot on. At best just above relegation and constant struggle with a relegation fight on crap football. Much the same as what they currently do. If they get 2 seasons from Sam finishing midway he truly would achieved a miracle
It will be very interesting
It will be very interesting to watch from afar with objective disinterest. I thought he stayed here 2 years too long, so it will be fascinating to see who he signs and how he plays without caring if he does well or not.
at last
we have found someone who will by J o b of us in January:-)
Good luck to him. He is
Good luck to him. He is exactly what Sunderland need right now.
Think Sam will keep them up.
Allardyce has targeted James
Allardyce has targeted James Tomkins, Joey O' Brien and or Ginge for his January buys no mention of Andy Carroll but as far as I'm concerned he can have JOB and maybe Collins if we sign another defender but no-one else, not even Carroll who should be either scoring goals again by then or yet again on the treatment table and only in that case we should sell.
Nice to see David Sullivan come out yesterday and say Tomkins not for sale to anyone :-)
