When the BBC do their next fiscal revue, they might want to consider the validity of employing a certain Mark Lawrenson as one of their pundits. For an organisation that has a mission statement claiming complete impartiality, the BBC seem to have not got their own house in order, why else would they employ someone who has such a biased and single minded opinion? Lawrenson's continued attempts at making West Ham United's amazing start to the season look like a flash in the pan are beginning to make him and the organisation that employs him look more and more ridiculous, time for a change, taxi for Lawro?
Sooner or later Slaven Billic and his "happy hammers" will begin to receive the credit that the team's performances, particularly away from home, have more than warranted. Hammers are second highest scorers in the Barclays Premier League, and have the best away record in the entire football league, slightly more than a 'flash in the pan'. Is it the manager, the players or both? Keen observers will have noticed Slaven kissing the ginger Pele as he left the field, would a certain gum chewer from Dudley have done the same? Very doubtful, but the players do respond to the man who seems to know his players very well considering the amount of time they have had together, players also recognise Billic's tactics and seem to accept being substituted for the greater benefit of the team, as Mark Noble did when being replaced by Andy Carroll, a clever precaution in order to prevent the captain picking up a yellow card which would have made him ineligible for the home match against Chelsea next week.
Having a plerophory of strikers on the bench certainly helped West Ham to turn the screw on Crystal Palace after Gayle had been sent off for two yellow cards, maybe Palace were confused by the fact that Manuel Lanzini, Mauro Zarate, Aaron Cresswell and Adrian all have the same haircuts! Perhaps Palace also thought that Dimitri Payet was Lewis Hamilton, he is certainly looking more and more like a World Champion.
How much is Payet worth in the current climate? £15Million, £20 Million, £30 Million? On his current form the sky is the limit, Hammers had better steel themselves for when the 'big boys' come sniffing, but then again aren't the 'big boys' usually in the top four of the Barclays Premier League? - Ed

Blimey, Nev! "Plerophory" !!!
Blimey, Nev! "Plerophory" !!! First time in my life I had to look up a word on a West Ham website!! Kudos mate :-)
Payet's value is priceless, and Lanzini's not far behind. But like Hammers65 says, if we carry on as we are, why would any player want to leave, unless they are unhappy, in which case let them go. THE FUTURE IS CLARET AND BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
players
recognise that Bilic is quite clearly even in these early days a very clever manager and a very good man manager the whole squad even those not starting feel involved and so that leads to a very good atmosphere around the workplace and when people are happy why would you move on and anyone who rocks the boat is soon shown who is the boss just ask Almafitano...of course money talks but how many move for money then never get a game and moan saying prefer to be playing than getting the extra ££££'s in the wages....so yes the papers will start stirring but I believe that unless absoloutly very silly money is involved nobody will go except for who we want to i.e O'Brien.
as for lawro well that sad excuse for a pundit can join all the others who clearly let there own bias instead of the facts rule there judgment
9 out of 9
Yes Lawro got full marks for getting his prediction of west ham's results totally wrong for every single match. I think he is totally pissed off with West Ham especially as we rubbed salt into the wounds with that 3-0 drubbing of Liverpool.
"Expert"?? LMAO,Lawrenson has
"Expert"?? LMAO,Lawrenson has predicted West Ham would only have 5 points after 9 games We have 17, What a proper bellend :))

Medical treatment ala Jose Mourinho. LOL
Shearer
have to say my beef is with all the MotD sycophants that lick up to the big boys in the prem and particularly Shearer. Like the Hanson "you win nothing with kids" statement I would like to see repeats of "becareful what you wish for west ham fans" refering to Allardyce departure. I am careful what I wish for, ball on the ground, fast passing, pacy midfield, delight on the eye and winning matches...WE CALL IT THE WEST HAM WAY!!!! Thank God for Bilic and the new scout we have ex Everton, he brought in some top players at Goodison and will do the same for us!
Yup, it's all going very well
Yup, it's all going very well just now. Of course, as West Ham fans, we are all expecting something to go horribly wrong at any moment. And while we are bound to have a bad patch at some point, I just get the feeling that we now have the squad and the mentality and the confidence, to fight through any bad run and quickly come out the other side.
The usual, defeat for us and
The usual, defeat for us and Liverpool to win. So that's 3 points for us and the Saints then. Cheers Lawro
Hahahaha... he's almost
Hahahaha... he's almost become amusing in his predictability and idiocy.
He seems to think we will play on the break and have little chance of scoring that way. The idea that we might take the game to Chelsea hasn't entered his tiny little mind.
Even his guest predictor this
Even his guest predictor this week Paul Heaton favours us to draw and says it would be nice if we beat Chelski... and he's a Sheffield United fan!
Let's face it we could be
Let's face it we could be playing a team out the evo- stick league and he'll still have us down for a loss!
Be interesting next week away
Be interesting next week away to Watford. Does he have the intelligence to tip us for a win based on form or will his bias towards us stay at the forefront of his tiny mind
