Ffs... im fed up with this, soon as we get a great player they end up injured... Hate McCarthy right now, its the refs fault for letting him get away with it
This is exactly the type of thing that annoys me with th fa. They spend their time avoiding the issues that should be clamped down on yet waste their time on the trivial things that just don't matter. Fa should be doing their job and protecting football from the cheats.
Afraid not Red Neck. The FA are hell bent on protecting their pitiful referees and if you complain then you're fined, in our case $40k for failing to control players in the derby with Chelsea. We've also be warned about future behaviour.
Now we need to retaliate against these muppets and sue them for the medical and rehab costs following the atrocious tackle on Payet and the referee's ineptitude in controlling the match. Tackles were flying in constantly well before the assault on Payet, yet no cards were brandished or warnings handed out. It's disgraceful and no wonder players feel the need to vent their frustrations during the game when it's clear the referees are inept.
Don't know how accurate it is but someone on one of our other sites heard that Sir Trev has approached Mike Riley (the refereeing gov. body) about retrospective action against McCarthy??
Good point Burkie, football would benefit from a citing system to weed out the cheats and thugs. 2 footed challenges, diving feining injury etc. it's so easy to implement. I don't want football to become non contact as the tackle from Coleman on Valencia is what football should be about but macarthy has no excuse. They bang on about bring football in disrepute enough, well isn't tackles like that? Glossing over that type of tackle tells future generations it's ok to do that.
I think its got more to do with that hybred manager (half scouse and half deago ) some one else said it on here ,that type of thuggery is club policy, 2 or three of our players were deliberately targeted
