Just watching the Wolves v Forrest game ,cant help but notice vast areas of the ground are empty , considering these two are among the top teams in the championship i was just wondering can football sustain what appears to be a downward trend in attendances and is it just the money from sky thats keeping them going .
Wat ja fink

I have noticed empty seats at the lower end clubs in the PL and even the so called 'die-hard' Newcastle faithful have been missing at times this season. The spuds played in the Europa Cup last night and I noticed lots of empty seats.

My home town club Burton Albion are only averaging 3,000 ( ish ) for there home games and there top of league 1 looking for promotion....I was telling a die hard Albion fan since they got promoted from the conference league some years back, Burton football fan have supported bigger clubs first.. The likes of Derby, Forest, Brum, Wolves WBA, Villa, Stoke & Leicester are all in an hours traveling from Burton so Albion are never going to get the big gates like they should.., There always promotion deals in our local rag to get folk in the ground. Even I won 2 tickets to see them play Doncaster next Saturday ( if I can finish work in time ).....
