Charlie Austin from 15m to 4.5m Southampton snap him up,have we missed a trick or dodged a bullet, with his injury record....me personally feels a bit gutted...

"moore 6" .. Yes you would think he is well worth that sort of Money but no doubt time will tell .. Personally I think he was Cheap at that and he is still only 26 !

Personally I think we exposed his injury file and nobody would touch him with a bargepole, hence the knockdown price.

Up yer arse, up yer arse, stick yer blue flag up yer arse!!

Personally feel that most teams in the PL need rejuvenating in January and a couple of new faces is always a good idea. Austin is a striker I have thought could do the job for us even from his days in Burnley. 4,5 mill - good for Southampton. With our striker crisis I think we missed a trick there.

Think he is a bargain at 4.5 million, a fit Andy Carroll paired with Charlie Austin would not only have been good for West Ham but England too.

Paired in the treatment rooms you mean. Both a pair of sick notes and I think the chairmen learned for the Ashton injuries and decided to stay well away.
My thinking is they should have wrapped AC up and sold him to the Geordies before he pulled a hammy going for an effing 30 yard sprint.
Roll on the Sakho return and 15 goals before season end and 4th spot for CL next season and roll on the Manc Arabs next week. Onward and upwards with small setbacks on the way...

Carroll 30 yd sprint? Are there any witnesses to that? Even better video proof? I'm not taking that on face value! Guffaw

David Gold reckons Austin's demand for £100k a week put them off so West Ham backed off. Austin also has been out injured recently so maybe we dodged a bullet there!
