So you think noble and jelavic are bad, well this lot make them look like cruyff and pele. It's so easy to forget our history but refreshing my memories we have had some awful awful players at the club! For this reason alone I don't think people of my era were ever plastic fans. Anyway cast your minds back since the seventies who would your worst players ever be? I'm looking for nominations and any stories that go with them. Then we will decide our worst ever team. Let's start with goalkeeper, right back, left back and 2 centre halves
Can I start with a forward?
Benni McCarthy -- penalty taker extraordinaire!
Carlton , need you ask ,for
Carlton , need you ask ,for eight years i suffered every time i saw his name on the morning team shit
I can't have Carlton I'm
I can't have Carlton I'm afraid, far to good for this team there must be at least another 20 we have had worse than him up front.
right back - Jonathan Spector
right back - Jonathan Spector, Center halves - Jonathan Spector, left back - Jonathan Spector. Diabolical, shambles, amateurish lots of words come to my mind when think of this man. Don't start with he scored 2 against the Mancs's second team. He was the worst footballer at West Ham I have seen... defensively , few midfield/forward players were just as bad as him it;'s just they played less game thankfully.
Kenny brown right back?
Kenny brown right back? Wayne Quinn a player so bad he had to retire from professional football at the grand old age of 28 because no one would take him. Mitchell Thomas?
hey hey
Kenny brown goes down in history for scoring the goal that beat manure 1-0..already relegated nothing to play for yet that night under the lights fergie got yet another defeat at the Boleyn....he was really pissed off calling our display disgusting or some such thing...still have the pic from the paper showing him scoring....typical west ham rubbish all season but when manure in town we turn it on and bam....lol
Tbf to him he actually looked
Tbf to him he actually looked half decent in midfield one of them cult hero's who as poor as he was most of the time I cant help but like him
Fred I'm assuming your cult
Fred I'm assuming your cult hero was kenny?
Goalkeeper
Goalkeeper
Perry Suckling: Where do you go after letting in nine goals? Into West Ham’s team. Following Crystal Palace’s heaviest ever defeat, at Liverpool in 1989, Lou Macari took a gamble on him and he was dreadful. He only played six games. Why oh why do we do it. In fact why did we appoint Lou macaroni as manager ?
Allen McKnight (mare) so bad
Allen McKnight (mare) so bad we coin our own phrase for him
rmbr seeing him
in cup game down at Wimbledon we drew 1-1 how I don't no because as you rightly put it R.N.I he was a knightmare!! could not catch a ball punch a ball or kick it...and then we had the LAMA yet another keeper who well to me anyway every time the ball came near our goal I closed my eyes and scream like a big girl it was that scary lol
Goalkeeper
As bad as all the other keepers mentioned were the worst has got to be Sasa Ilic! Played for us just once in 2000 and was at fault for all of the goals in that game when Everton thumped us 4-0 at the Boleyn!
I like the iliac and suckling
I like the iliac and suckling suggestions just wondering if they have played enough? Who was that spuds reject we had?
Right back Gary Charles
Right back Gary Charles
Centre back rigobert song
Centre back Calum davenport

Midfield kovac,Joey beauchamp,Nigel quashie
Strikers , titi camera,benni mccarthy,marco boogers
Davenport wasn't a bad player
Davenport wasn't a bad player in the few games he played for us. Ilunga is a strange one, how someone can look so different after 1 season is beyond me
Ilunga played like he was on
Ilunga played like he was on a 5-a-side pitch, always out of position, wanting to be everywhere on the ball
Rigerbert song awful player
Rigerbert song awful player. Paul Hilton anyone?
Charles
Charles was a good player, we made a bad buy, we bought him when he was prone to injury and being let go by his previous clubs.

His book is a good read as well!
Some corkers there harry,i
Some corkers there harry,i like the beauchamp one lol, never played a single competitive game for us,because the travel from oxford to london was to much for him, bless! and boogers four appearances from the bench, no goals and a red card, and banned for 4 matches, old arry never see him live and bought him on the strength of a video ,goes down as one of the worst strikers in the history of the Premier League, fantastic stuff guffaw!
Beauchamp & Boogers!
It could only ever happen at westham...both stories still make me laugh!even funnier is the time "arry brought on the sub in the friendly at oxford...Steve davies was the name i think,im sure it wasnt the snooker player though!!Cos he had loads of tattoos!!;)
Cor, Blimey! yeah the hammers fan,now that is a tale 65

Gary Charles
I played against him and then with him for Essex County Youth U16 and he was a very good player, we got him at the wrong time when he was spiralling downwards and he had started losing discipline and drinking.
where sh*t and we know we are
Bill Green and Roger Johnson at centre back.( this will cause me nightmares).
Omg bill green! Now this is
Omg bill green! Now this is what I'm talking about! Just reminded me Gary Breen. Gary Charles not a bad one ( by not a bad one I mean of course not a bad suggestion)
Still looking for defenders
Still looking for defenders and goalkeeper first guys I'm sure itl be melt down when we get on strikers! We will round keepers and defenders up tomorrow morning.
I never much rated Paul Brush
I never much rated Paul Brush or Kevin Lock to be honest, mistakes were never very far away.
l know that Mervyn Day was a decent goalkeeper and looked an excellent prospect but towards the end of his career he was another one prone to gaffs....Nothing on McKnight though.
Bill Green is another good shout by the way!
Savio Nsereko?
Anonymous to say the least.
Could name many poor keepers
But the one who got my hackles rising was Calamity James. Mcknight and Death were obvious candidates I suppose.Defence has to be between Dailly, Breen, Paul Hilton, Mick McGiven take your pick. Alan Dickens was my all time pet hate. Quite how he played so many games for so long is as baffling as Carlton Cole.
Death? Sorry deluded you are
Death? Sorry deluded you are gona have to elaborate on that one
We actually had a goalie
We actually had a goalie called Stephen death who played 1 game for us in the 60's but not sure he was referring to that
I remember seeing Death play
I remember seeing Death play for Reading a few years after against Swansea City at the old Vetch....I'm sure Robin Friday played that day as well.
As far as I can recall he was a decent keeper.
I think all would agree based
I think all would agree based on regular appearances that mcknightmare is the worst ever goalkeeper
How about razvan rat and John
How about razvan rat and John pantsil
Or John Paintsil
Or John Paintsil
Him as well lol!
Him as well lol!
javier margas
javier margas could be another contender
MIDO
Mido. You know you have problems when a player signs and is only paid £1,000-a-week and accepts it. Nine games, no goals and a penalty miss. Thanks Mido, we’ll miss you.Guffaw!
I'd forgotten only 1000 a

Mauricio Ricardo Taricco - he
Mauricio Ricardo Taricco - he got injured on his debut and tore up his contract.
I know the player you mean
I know the player you mean Harry but not the one I'm talking about. Think the one I'm talking about was called something like Lopez? Never played in the prem before or after his minimal stint with us!
We had Lionel scaloni on loan
We had Lionel scaloni on loan ? But that was before gold and sullivan. And a Uruguayan called Walter Lopez but that was the season before g & s took over I thought
Think that's the one Walter
Think that's the one Walter Lopez. Was that before g and Sullivan was It? Typical g and s signing that
If people here are mentioning
If people here are mentioning strikers I'd vote for the one and only Sandy Clark...What a clunker!
John Radford was well past it as well..
you took the words right out
you took the words right out of my mouth, sandy clark was an awful player, in fact you couldn't even call him a player he was that bad!
