Thought resting players would have been preferable against Villa myself. Two defensive players out of position though Tomkins is not through choice.

Agree, a good first half. We have only granted to them a bit too much space in midfield. Now is the time to Antonio

Another Great Save .. He's certainly keeping us in it today .. Lets hope we can hang on for a Draw .. Playing the way we are today I have my doubts though !

His triple save was awesome...we could have nicked it at the end but for the post!imo a dogged performance from the boys-roll on the replay!!

I was just cursing O'Brien for chancing that shot when he retained possession on the touch line against two Liverpool players and then created a good attacking opportunity. I don't think O'Brien is really PL quality, but he done his best today and showed that he is not a liability.

could not keep the ball ...... song has been awlful payet not in the game except for set pieces ...if Liverpool had a more experienced team out we would of lost.. Randolph was our best player that says it all.....against such a young side we should of been better... poor very poor tonight

Liverpool fans moan at every decision, the ref blows up!!At least 3 or 4 times the ref gave free kicks for little or no contact, disgracefull

I think I heard the commentators say on that last cross to Antonio that the ref blew it up for going out of bounds, but he was in no position to see and the linesman, who has a good angle, didn't raise the flag. We'd be spewing if Antonio's header had gone in and they ruled no goal. But I'm worried that Liverpool will get the rub in the replay, too.

True hopefully and we live another day .. It's a shame Reece Oxford never had the chance of a run out .. As poor as the performance was generally today with the exception of Randolph at least we did not Lose !

On a positive note! Adrian, Tomkins, Noble, Lanzini and Carroll will probably all be involved in the replay. Even Sakho if we're lucky COYI

Im a firm believer that when your man up front is a heap of shit it reverberates down the rest of the team ,Jelavic belongs in the lower divisions, we had this for eight years with C C

Didn't watch the game only just caught the result, from the comments posted performance well below par.I'm glad ,looking at the team sheet Bilic took the game seriously and put out a strong team ,unlike Klopp who risked playing a number of youngsters. At least Westham got the draw and must be favourites now to progress into the next round if Bilic can field a near full strength side with Lanzini and Carroll .They are tough bastards ,though, Liverpool, especially when we play them in cup games, but I feel this time Westham will have too much for them at home.

But I didn't think we played too bad. See my comments below. You could say, though, that for the patches where we kept possession and passed the ball around a bit we still looked like a 5-a-side team and weren't really attacking. Not sure if we did force a save all match.

Watched the match in the same West Ham shirt I wore ten years ago for the cup final. I thought West Ham were good in patches, without showing much serious threat in the final third. Liverpool kept Payet quiet, mostly, but we were solid in defence and Randolph was good as gold. It was tough for us losing both Tonks and Kouyate early -- changed the game plan substantially in my opinion. Poo gradually grew to dominate the midfield, and we gave up way too much possession all through the middle of the second half. Bringing on Antonio was the right decision, and look how close he come to winning it for us at the death. Thought Cresswell wasn't on his best, and Jela didn't add much (in fact, going 4-4-2 brought the supply down so that Enner and Jela weren't able to get any decent chances). Other than that I thought most players were solid. Reid was very strong but gave away a stupid free on the edge of the box (although the supposed "penalty" was very far from anything serious and certainly no worse than Liverpool's handball earlier). What about the passback by Liverpool -- it was never shown again on replay. Any opinions? ... Well, at least we get a replay at home. Don't know if my nerves can stand it. COYI!!!!

One last comment. To all those who constantly slate Noble and say he should be dropped. Today proved the exact reason why hes first choice. Not only did we lack leadership and lack discipline. But unlike Obiang, Song and Kouyate, hes the only defensive mid we have who helps us play through the midfield. People say he only passes backwards and sideways, which is hugely exaggerated anyway but isnt that partially what were missing today? Only one whos willing to get the ball off the defence then start off attacks through the midfield. Without him players like Payet can't even get the ball because unlike song and Obiang, if payet wants to roam whos there covering usually its noble. Today? Nobody lost count of the amount of times gaps appeared due to Obiang and Song not being in position. Noble certainly isnt the best player you will find but people need there eyes tested if they honestly thing Song and Obiang should be in that team ahead of him. Little stat from the city game aswell, Noble to Payet and Payet to Noble was the highest passing combination throughout the match
