He steered the West Ham juggernaut into the right direction and to safe waters. I was impressed with some of what Valencia did as well. Fantastic pass brilliantly timed for the second. Lots of positives to take away from this match.

(1) Potential banana skin dispatched. (2) Clean sheet. (3) Didn't bring back recovering players too early. (4) Showed persistence and it paid off. (5) Did the business after a difficult weekend away fixture. The negatives will be that we didn't pile up the goals on a 10 man team at the bottom of the table, but I will take 49 points and a +10 goal difference at this stage of the season any day. Hope we play better against Liverpool, though.
