Gold annouces on Twitter next season West Ham will have a bigger and better squad

Apparently gold has said the squad next season would be bigger and better than this year. So based on that out of our current squad of twenty five who would you hold on to and how many would we need to buy/improve on?

Song and Moses are on loan and, truthfully, I wouldn't keep either if the option was/is there. Collins ( I love him) isn't getting any younger but has just signed a new contract. Say bye to Joey O'brian and Obiang hasn't really set the world on fire either. Haven't a clue about Doniel Henry, and Josh Cullen and Reece Oxford have yet to prove they can step up to the mark. Jelavic can definitely do one. Thats ten players I've named so in truth I think we should be looking quite some way to improving what we already have never mind making it bigger. Keep Lanzini and I'd like to see that Samuelson kid given a little run. Bilic doesn't seem to have any more confidence in the kids than Sam ever did.

I think Bilic has alot more faith in the kids then Sam he played a 16 year old against arsenal at the emirates and then started the next game after that before getting injured. Theres good times and bad times to blood youngsters but its better for them to go out on loan and play first team league football then it is to play for our u21s and get a few minutes here and there for the senior team. Also just so happens that this year our brightest prospects in oxford and cullen both positions we are well stacked in and ill be shocked if samuelsen isnt in the first team squad next season. Pretty sure it was westley who came out and said that Sam Allardyce was never interested in the youth team but how bilic constantly wants to know who could be ready etc... +Bilic brought through plenty at besiktas

Current squad only has 24 players in it and jelavic maybe off.players like Cullen Oxford and Samuelson don't get named in squad because of their age but are still able to play

Ginge
Ogbonna
Reid
Tomkins
Obiang
Lanzini
Payet

Think we could do with about eight

We have Samuelson, Oxford,Burke, Cullen, poyet and Hendrie under 21s

I'd add tore and bony next season along with a full back of decent quality that's plays both left and right back plus a makalele type midfielder and another like Payet for rotation

Players to go
Henry
Poyet
Hendrie
Moses
Song if he doesn't up his game
Carroll if he doesn't stay fit
O Brian end of contract

I think that assessment is about right RNI regarding the ins and outs.It would be a bitter pill to swallow, to lose both Song and Carroll, knowing what they can bring to the team, when they are on form and fit.Tore is a favourite of Bilic, who I rate highly .Bony is a good call, never considered him .Sullivan made mention of bringing in two marquee signings in the summer, and I think one of them will definitely be a striker from what he was saying. But you never know how the current crop perform over the rest of the season....Eminike could be a goal scoring hit .The full back situation is probably the biggest issue now,Bilic likes to play with attacking full backs, which is a difficult role to fill,Cresswell has done okay ,great attacking, but defensively there are questions, the same with Byram as he is an unknown quantity at this level.Just have to wait and see how they perform over the rest of the season.I like your thinking about buying one player who can cover both positions, left and right side,I think that is where the money needs to be spent.Claude Makalele was the ideal holding player,he never went walkabouts, solid as a rock, get someone of his quality would be a massive plus.Agree with you as well concerning cover for Lanzini and Payet,or maybe someone even better, that would really ratchet up the competition.

I'd give him another chance, it takes ages to get served at half time so why not give him a go?

Gokhan Tore would be fantastic as well as a 20 goal a season striker...Gignac playing with his old Marseille mate Payet could be worth thinking about...
