Angelo Ogbonna broke Scouser hearts seconds away from a penalty shoot out during extra time against Liverpool in an enthralling and entertaining FA Cup 4th round replay that saw both sides able to win the tie. Hammers prevailed in the end in what some would see as a Karmic balance of a footballing match, of course the last time both teams met in the FA Cup proper was the 2006 Gerrard/Scaloni Cup final, a match that still has the West Germany 3-2 England 1970 Mexico world cup finals parallel firmly embedded in certain Hammers fans memories. This was a match that should have been won, and every time it is reviewed it seems impossible that there could be such a negative outcome to the proceedings, however in both matches the end result was a travesty. Tonight's match at the Boleyn was no less dramatic than the final at Cardiff, it was possibly going to be the last FA Cup match at the hallowed turf graced by Sir Bobby et tout, fortunately West Ham prevailed in a certain quid pro quo equalisation of the 2006 final. Incidentally, fair play to the Liverpool travelling supporters who sang their hearts out, they were almost as good as Hammers away support during the final. - Ed

Slav gracious in victory, says nothing about the penalty that wasn't given. Klopp waffles on about the free kick given in the last minute that led to our goal. He says that Liverpool played football while West Ham played for the foul. Oughta take a hard look at himself, stitches and all -- Liverpool are OUT of the cup and cannot beat us. Four times on the trot.

Didn't Klopp have his appendix out this week, (hence stitches) and Slav was building him up at a mid week press conference. He said Klopp will be at the match
, as that is the professional he is, he wants to be there and be with his team.. Slav was a perfect gentleman, and could only talk of admiration and respect.
Reading all post match interviews Klopp had every opportunity to be magnaminus (sp) and chose not to be. Tosser!!

Klop started his reign in England like a breath of fresh air with his attitude but it's now all changed to meet the new boss same as the old boss

Great night and well deserved, we missed Collins until he came on and are defence was poor at times, however midfield and Valence performed well and the ref gave us very little . again we lost players in injury and Saturday will now be a hard game. COUI

Remember the 2006 final when they tied the Claret and ribbons and at the last minute replacing them And that gutting feeling of losing the cup. Well that's Just how Jurgen Klapp felt last night, Belly aching(get it??) about free kick we should'nt have had if you remember the start of the second half when we had 2 pen appeals waived away and 2 blatant fouls turned down dont suppose he worried about that. Never mind MR Klapp you won't have to play us any more this season cos ur out of the cup. AHHH. or as we see it he he he COYI Bring on Blackburn
