is this the man to take songs place next season? rumour has it we have agreed a deal on a free transfer from borussia Monchengladbach(just putting my teeth back in after that!)...proven player in the bundesliga and champions league at 26 he's a steal and be on far more realistic wages than song......going to enjoy seeing what super slavs strategy is going to be this summer.

Just saw a video of this player and thought it was a joke! Woeful passing, hoofing the ball poor crossing, headers skimming of his head putting defenders under pressure, looks like one of SAMs. So I have no idea what to expect but if that video is his worth then no wonder he is free. As a defensive midfielder I'd like to see him at least tackle well and break up play! Having said that I can't believe we would want someone like that so I'm keeping my opinion open.
Saw the video as well.
Looked very average; hope that wasn't his best game, lol. Biggest problem for me is that his first touch doesn't look very good. The ball typically runs up to a meter in front of him -- do that in the EPL and he'll lose possession all the time. But maybe they see something in him that I don't. I think Mr Hendry has proven to be a good scout. As for Song, I'm actually with Burkie on that one -- I don't think he's in our first team (so his wages are too high), but he's not as poor as some people make out.

I seem to be one of a shrinking number of fans that still. Think Song is great player ,i remember just a few months ago when he came ,the feeling was almost. Univesal admiration, i think his one failing has been an ability to stay fit ,lack of concentration and his lack of pace when chasing back after loosing the ball ,hes still a good squad player
Thats the problem though
Thats the problem though Burkie, he is a squad player on key player wages and coming from Barcelona and the no date considerable price tag he would command, you expect more,
