Well Payet doesn't make it so someone else needs to stand up to the plate today. Team is what most would guess at, the players in the squad are up to it on paper so hope they are full of confidence and push it thro anyway that works.

How many more Chances are we going to Miss in this Game ? .. Albeit for me if we do miss out on the Europa League I'm not that bothered personally !

It is typical , the highs and lows of being a hammers supporter. I hope we can get a decent striker in the summer. Looks like no Europer league next year.

All we had to do was put one of those chances in the back of the net. Feel gutted by this. It was there on a platter. Really think the lack of creativity with Payet out made all the difference. We limped to the end of the season with no Byram, no Collins, no Adrian, then no Payet, no Sakho, no Carroll.

Typical West Ham. We should have beaten Swansea and the this result wouldn't have mattered. I'm not sure but if Liverpool win the Europa league final and manure the fa cup then we may still qualify for Europa league. Do I really want us too ? Not sure as don't think we are good enough when the chips are down

Harry agreed, we paid dearly for the defeat against Swansea. After a year like this where we have merited a place in Europe is a real sinned this final.

Harry I don't think the Liverpool game has a bearing on us now. So we are only looking for Man U to win the cup. Worst things about this was it should have been wrapped up before the last game and apart the second goal I didn't feel we were ever gona lose that game, but the midfield went missing and we couldn't up the tempo after their first.

Yes bonzo sticks in the throat hoping they win due to the fa cup and Tuesday's trouble. Being a synic can't help thinking that bomb hoax was premeditated to help Manu steal an advantage on city

was watching the match with me and he said west ham have got this in the bag...you have much to learn I told him and when sakho missed that sitter it was only a matter of time...hate to say like most hammers fans we saw it coming...we needed the second goal did not get it and paid the price....still the spuds lost 5-1 to ten men that's made me feel better

To be honest I couldn't give a monkey's toss about Spurs or anyone else, we threw that today - As we all know, a shit hot centre forward is a must for us next season.
I still think Man Utd will win the FA Cup but even if Palace triumph, we certainly have progressed this year.
Yes I know European football will attract bigger players but let's see what the summer brings....COYI!

I'm a big fan of Sakho albeit he was poor today .. Personally I would have started with him and Valencia today and had Carroll on the bench .. At the end of the day I still think we have had a great Season this time .. The big disappointment for me was how we played the first 70 minutes or so in the Cup Replay at Home to United and in the League game against Swansea recently !

was not good today sak made some good runs but I think after missing that sitter he kinda made more of his injury so he could come off....we do need a very very good striker that's for certain....one other thing if cresswell had come off after he went down early in first half what would of happened? ogbonna onto left and Collins on? we are short at fullback both sides this needs to be made a priority IMO

How did we lose this one. Only have ourselves to blame. Bilic has done a great job, however it's just a pity that the forwards were not clinical enough this season. Payet and Antonio were great at scoring and that summed up the season, so really you have to say that this was one of our best seasons in the Premier Division. Only three teams bossed us this whole season. Leicester, Swansea and Stoke, ie they scored more points in the two fixtures. Who would have predicted that at the start of the season, especially as teams like Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea were well beaten overall in the home and away fixtures ie 4, 4, 6 and 4 points respectively. West Ham have either managed to take more points or share the spoils with all the other teams.

Anyway, hopefully Man United do win the F.A. Cup so that West Ham squeaks another Europa Cup spot next season. Also, hopefully Bilic takes the Europa League more seriously, than he did this season if the Hammers do make it. Fingers crossed everyone.

How disappointing was that. I am finding it hard to believe that we lost that game, Premier league is a cruel mistress. If you don't take your chances then you are likely to lose a lot of games. Hope Bilic gets a top striker for the new season and looks at the defensive issues. Been a wonderful season but we just fell short. New season could be very good if we buy wisely and be more clinical.

I guess just one of those days. Just amplified the fact that we need a real striker and maybe a defensive midfielder to protect the back four... or is that the Reece Oxford role?
