Next 4 games

I fear the next four games just how many points can we get? And how will the bilic faithful explain things if we get humiliated by spuds?

I think you have to be careful about comments like "the Bilic faithful". There is a huge majority of fans that go to games that still sing his name at least once a game, and it could be construed that as you want him out, you're belittling their opinion. I do also think that there is a divide between those that go and those that don't, in that there is probably more of a personal disconnect between, the staff and fans. This site for instance is overwhelmingly contributed to by those that don't go, and I think it's inevitably easier to have a more clinical and cold view about things. I think the disconnect creates an expectation of a quick fix, to situations. Sakho for instance has been a wrong un and disruption for ages now. We couldn't even off load him to West Brom, he's had a few minutes in the last year and now he's the saviour! The bottom line is I think Bilic will go at the end of the season, so most will get what they want. However if Conte lost Hazard, Mourinho, Ibrahimovic, Pochettino Alli half way through the season, plus those players had not turned up since the beginning of the season, they'd all struggle. I think the defence has struggled all season with Cresswell, Bryan, Reid, Ogbonna and Arbeloa being out for a lot of it. I think it's disrupted formations, where people play etc... the players we brought in all had International, Prem and or Euro experience in Zaza, Tore, Feghouli, Fonte, Snodgrass and Ayew have all been dross or average at best. There was no way of knowing that and in my opinion that's the league of player we are in for at the moment. Likewise the season before we knew nothing about Antonio, Lanzini and Payet and they worked out. I think we've been unlucky this year as we were lucky last year. But as I said before he will go, inevitable followed by Antonio and Lanzini, as he does make stubborn choices, possibly from what he sees day in day out. It now makes sense to me why he's not 100% on Bryam and why he looks to fit square pegs in round holes. I think this stubbornness will be his downfall and we will look for someone else. My worry is that whoever comes in has a mid table squad, that won't change, so we are limited on whoever therefore takes the job. The board won't splash the cash and go gung ho as some want, so we are back to sqaure one. Looking for a Bilic type manager looking for their next step. It's going to be all a bit deja but for me.

Burkie 1

Playing against Spuds as if it were a final, all of these games have to be for us. To be honest I'm worried. Everton usual Threat Lukaku, he has always made us goals. Stoke go home with a draw and a good result like against Liverpool. Burnley have obtained good results at home

The most likely opportunities are Stoke and Burnley, but the way we are playing (let's not kid ourselves about the four points against Swansea and Sunderland!), we aren't good value for points at either place. Going over everyone's fixtures I think we have the odds on our side with both Hull and Swansea needing to catch us. Both have some difficult fixtures. Hull have Watford, Southampton, Sunderland, Palace, and Spurs, and they need eight points to pass us, with goal difference being a factor. They're playing reasonably well (4 wins in 10), but not on target to get eight points in the last five. I can see them getting six, maybe seven (Watford and Sunderland at home win; Palace away draw). But they might win two and draw two, in which case they would pass us. Swansea have Stoke, Manure (A), Everton, Sunderland and WBA (H). Effectively they need 10 points to pass us, and they are playing as bad as we are. With Manure and Everton both fighting for European football, I don't see Swansea getting anything from those fixtures. So even if they win the other three, they won't pass us. Sunderland and West Brom will have nothing to play for when Swansea face them, so in theory they might take six points. But I don't really see that happening and nor do I see them beating Stoke. So I don't think there's much chance of us going down. I think we will limp home in a dismal 16th.
