Any favourite theme tunes?

Submitted by Red Neck Iron on Wed, 09/08/2017 - 20:58

Just seen the music thread has been bumped up again so I was thinking on a tangent and wondering what everyone's favourite theme tune fo TV shows, films etc. the one that always stands out for me is the persuaders. John Barry I think. Never get board of it.

After watching it & the theme tune is playing, nothing like running over the park with your mates, jumpers for goalposts
pretending youve just scored in front of the old north bank....

M6 that was far better theme than I ever remember it being! Just had a surreal experience! Got side tracked as a result, saw duelling banjos from deliverance and down the side on you tube the was a group called Steve n seagulls. A banjo playing band doing rock covers! Clicked on you shook me all night long to hear hill billies playing in on banjos whilst tractors doing doughnuts in the snow!

I thought this could be a nostalgic thread. You tube hear I come. How about the old bbc test cricket theme? Calypso something or other? Superstars?

So are you say lassie and skippy are Jack of all trades? Master of non? See how can we vote Mac? If I was drowning at sea I'd want a specialist not some damn kangaroo dragging me under! We need specifics.

you could be drowning flipper gets you to shore but thats it your exhausted and die of hypothermia where as lassie would drag you to shore bark skippy would bound in take a look and bounce off through the bush for help..."whats that skip?"" tutt tuutt uttt tuttt" Red Necks nearly drowned lassies pulled him to shore and your worried he might get hypothermia...tutt tutt utt tuuutt..righto skip show me where he is...thats how you would survive mate.

Yes but without flipper we don't even come across skippy or lassie, infact didn't flipper patrol warmer waters? We ain't talking about a winters day at clacton you know. Knowing flipper he would take you to the lifeguard. Job done.

Dont get me wrong,if you wanted a companion in the trenches,Lassie would be right up there,& she would tug at the heart strings...
But for me skippy was a bush kangaroo in the crocodile dundee mould & also could play the Drums!!
No brainer for me!!
