I love the David's don't get me wrong. I am a firm believer that they are the best thing that could've happened to our beloved West Ham.
But this quote from Mr Gold has me ruffled. "Let’s hope next week when we play Stoke City that with a fair wind we go on and win the game."
Fair wind?? No mention that Allardyce had this game lost in his pre match comments last week. I loathe the man Allardyce that is. I was thankful but honestly 'insert expletives' I am done with him. He's taking the piss and to the see the owners cough up what I see as clutching at straws excuses to try and make us fans feel better about losing to a team in the position Leicester are in.
They can go f'ck themselves. We're not stupid and we don't deserve to be treated like toddlers.
Last week before Leicester I almost posted how I thought Allardyce might've been entitled to a new contract and that'd it'd be dangerous to get rid of him and to be careful what we wish for...
After watching his intolerable selection of Nolan, his lack of fight, his lack of passion for the hammers and his prehistoric mentality. So many things hes done has been questioned. Downing being dislodged by Nolan. The lack of two up front. The poor tactics and subs.
Now ask yourself this.
What has Sam Allardyce done this season to deserve a new contract?

Gold is the "steady" one, a good counter to Sully when he gets a bit carried away; I think they make a good pairing. But even Gold must be aware of the growing discontent with Allardyce's unremitting negativity, it might just take him longer to come to the same conclusion as most of us. Whilst I would like to see Sam go right now, there is some advantage for our owners in running down his contract: they enhance their reputation for not acting precipitously, and prospective managers will see that as a good thing.

It's going to be hard to suffer Sam Allardyce for the rest of the season, though. By the way, I think that point about a "fair wind" was David Gold's way of saying he knows what the problem is. No other reason for it, really. It's a subtle kick in the arse to Sam Allardyce -- "Get your act in order, son, and make sure you beat Stoke". But I'm not sure I can see a reaction from Sam. Nolan and Cole with both play, I reckon, and Valencia will be kept on the bench for a late cameo.

You may well be right, Ashes. If we don't win however the clamour to sack Allardyce will only increase, and if we actually lose, it might become hard for our owners to ignore.

Hopefully Valencia will be back next week, you'd think he'd had a foot amputated not just a cut! 4 plus weeks to heal a cut foot?/!!! I know a bloke who climbed Mount Everest after 6 weeks.......and he had a kidney out!!!! Nolan tries hard, but he's too slow, and has lost his knack of poaching goals, so I see very little excuse for Sam to play him.
