Well Palace have just collected another three points to close in on us. Where will we finish at this rate? 11th/12th or worse? Apart from Newcastle our record is dismal this second half of the season Boy do we need a lift!
If Sam persists with 4-5-1, the form Stoke, Palace and even Everton now showing we will finish 12th. Surely if the targets set were top 10 finish ( re-evaluated after a great start to 8th) then Sam would have failed miserably and will be shown the door. Hope I'm wrong and we can show some cahooners before the end of the season. Hope I see Sam released at the end of the season though and told, "you had a great season in the palm of your hand so what did you do? Took that palm and wrapped it around Kev's ( ) and you both blew it! There's the door, eff off!
Stoke have a 3 point cushion on us so that should be enough to see them finish above us. Everton's unlikely win over Manure has seen them leapfrog us on GD and pushed us into the bottom half of the tabe for the first time this season, pretty much where our form dictates we should be. CP have Chelsea, Manure & Liverpool in their next 3 games so wil have to wait until their last game of the season against Swansea to see if they can haul us in.
We've got Burnley next and to be honest if we fail to get 3 points against the team bottom of the league and struggling even mre than us to find the onion bag, Sam should be placed on gardening leave. Should a miracle happen and we actually win the game then our final 3 are against Villa, Everton and Newcastle. Can't see us beating Villa away, Everton are a major bogey team for us and have their tails up and Newcastle are in real danger of being sucked into the vortex of last day survival with games against Leicester, WBA & QPR before hosting the Hammers. At least we're involved in something, even if it is other team's fights for survival.
I think we're looking at 11th place as Palace's run in is tough. That would mean we have failed in the target of a top 10 finish no?
Don't know about Stoke and / or Palace -- they have their own problems. But I think we will wobble all the way to the end, and I don't really expect top ten on current form. So let's say 11 or 12. Wierd, but I thought 12 at the beginning of the season, though now it looks SOOOOO disappointing.
Stoke were very unlucky to come away with nothing agst Chelsea last weekend, and they're two previous defeat were close encounters with teams who outplayed nd thumped us recently in WBA and Palace. Although Sam should be able to outthink M. Hughes tactically I expect us to play flooding the midfield and starving our lone forward of decent service again. Palace under Pardew and on the up and have games against Sunderland, WBA and Hull coming up. Two of those teams are in rotten veins of form and happen to be the only two teams we've beaten this year. Everton have now won 3 in a row and their probably about to hit their purple patch for the season. Make no mistake, unless Sam can start getting us attacking from the off then these teams could quite easily leapfrog us.
The season apart from what went on before Nolan and Carroll returned has been a big pile of pants apart from a few good try's against the bigger teams .
watched that game last night , thoroughly entertaining from start to finish , their showing great heart lately only problem i have watching them is that infernal racket from their fans , Jesus do they go to watch a match or out do the German s at making noise
looks like 12th or worse and just watch Newcastle beat us to record their first win in 10 games surviving and staying in the Premier League while we finish the season with a whimper!!! We might get a draw against Burnley but on form the other three should beat us! so 45 points and maybe even 13th place about 5 points above the relegation zone. Sam out!!!!!!!!!!!
Looking like 12th, which was below most people's expectations before the season started, and is positively awful considering our pre-Christmas form. I can't think of many managers who would have (or should have!) survived such an abysmal series of results. And yet Sam's preferred "cure" is to get even more defensive and try to keep more clean sheets for the last few games!!! Never does it enter his head to try to get back to the form of the early part of the season, and to try to score more goals!! He must be the worst attacking coach in the Premier League.
He sneered at "The West Ham Way" when he joined us; well I might not be able to define it for him, but I can categorically say IT IS NOT YOUR WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE GO!
Such a dissapointing end to this season. Honestly even with our dire game I enjoyed last one more. At least there was some tension a bit of a scrap and above all 3 wins agains tottscum ( my god I enjoyed them so much ). Sam has done his job I have stood behind him during those 4 years but it is time to part ways. Right moment we just need the right man. 12th

Wow, who'd have thought that.
Wow, who'd have thought that. Certainly not me, my predictions never come off. Probably why I changed it to 11th a short while later.

Anymore games this season , so we will
Not overtake anyone . Can see Palace overtaking us so think 4th spot is out of the question now. Nice one Sam.
