There seems to have been quite a few articles advocating Allardyce, from what are deemed popular players like Sakho, Kouyate, Noble and Jenkinson. There also been a lack of any press from Nolan and the captain's blog. All of this would have gone across Brady's desk. So do you think she's trying to get support for Allardyce in order to stop Sullivan from changing managers? Or do you think they've done a deal already to keep him and are trying to lessen the blow? With season ticket renewals coming up, maybe they're waiting till the last minute just in case his staying has an impact on ticket sales? Thoughts?
I sincerely hope Brady has
I sincerely hope Brady has little effective say in the matter. She "might" be a good business woman (I have no real way of judging for myself), but seems to me she has no real feel for football. If they'd already decided to renew Sam I think they would have announced it, this not knowing is not doing anyone any good.
BTW, Nev. How about a new poll vis-à-vis who people want as manager next season...
i agree with dicksy , he's
i agree with dicksy , he's defiantly gone
Not many fans want another
Not many fans want another season where we "fade and die" like this one and last season. we won 4 games after Christmas I believe last season and so far only two wins since Christmas this time as yet another set of Allardyce's players just seem to crumble and play poorly as the season has gone on. He has to go because there is always a first time for the likes of his style of football sending us down to the Chumps.
Go on any WHUFC fansite and yes they do have the odd one or two who say keep him! I can only think they don't like entertaining football and scraping along with an occasional boring draw or lucky win with 30% possession is ok for them but most like me want him gone as he is killing the game and killing our name with dinosaur tactics which lets face it do not work anymore do they!!!
The rumour mill at the Club say he will not be given another contract and we already have another manager lined up! I hope it's true. Cant see SUGO or Bradey backing him this time either. Let's hope the new manager brings a smile back on the fans faces and we don't have to cringe at the way we play anymore! Well 98% of us anyway :-) The 2% are not true West Ham fans in my book!
My only fear is...
Steve McLaren or someone similar turns up for a job interview and gets it.
Looking forward to anyone but Fat Sam. #COYI
You never know betty
But I too think he is not going to get a renewed contract.
Would I be shocked If he gets another one-two year extension, Nope.
He has lost too many of his former supporters who think that his high peak cannot be topped his level has been reached.
I can't see why these players
I can't see why these players are coming out in support unless they are going to extend his contract. They wouldn't be allowed to talk to the media without going through the press office so there must be a motive behind it. I suppose if he does stay and takes this end of season capitulation from the last two seasons, we could get relegated. However all I hear is Allardyce GUARANTEES survival so I must be wrong.
That's not the first time for
That's not the first time for players to come out and support the manager only for him to get booted. I don't see how he can be kept on but stranger things have happened. Playing dour football is not gonna get any potential investors juices flowing as they look to kick off in the OS.
BS ,I get the feeling now
BS ,I get the feeling now after Sullivans latest comments Allardyce will be staying on,to me he is just trying to butter the fans up with talk of the summer transfer activity. To me it will say business comes first ,Allardyce is a safe option. So much for club progression and ambition, the fans will have been ignored yet again.

I will hold judgement on that for now,but if true there is going to be one hell of a backlash.
You're absolutely right
We've heard this before about transfer activity, summer and winter. We paid £15m for a player who was supposed to be our 'saviour'. Well all we've paid for is his hospital bills ! When we did have an exciting team before Christmas, and two of those BFS didn't want, as soon as he could bring his boyfriend and our 'saviour' back he did. Not even the most ardent Allardyce supporter can deny our slump started right then. He alienated Zarate, so much so that I doubt he'd ever want to come back to us.
His substitutions are becoming ever more bewildering.
His excuses are even more so !!!
The most important summer transfer I want to see is HIS !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can understand why people
I can understand why people on the outside would wonder what all the fuss is about Sam. If you're a top four team and you finish 8th or 9th then the managers job comes under pressure, but if your a bottom half of the table team that finishes 9th that would be considered a success . This season we started very well playing good attacking football, then all changed to accommodate certain players coming back . As a result we've had two wins in almost four months of football. That's not success in my opinion. Don't know what match it was but in a pre match interview Sam said that he was going back to a system that was pretty successful for us early in the season. If it wasn't broken why fix it. I know he has done a good stabilising job up to this season, but he was given the chance and the players to take us to the next level and has failed in my opinion. His own inner beliefs and reluctance to change could mean he's not the man to take us forward.
