Hugill was a surprise ommision, cheech, kouyate, cresswell, Anderson and Bal (The General!) were not.

Cant work out why manny keeps playing him unless he's putting him in the shop window or perhaps he rates him

At the game today.... Wilshire can defo see a pass and played the first 45, Fredericks has pace to burn, Diop looked comfortable ... Adrian made a couple of blinding saves, Nobes uncharacteristically missed a spot kick (too easy for the keeper.) Haksobanovic played a solid second 45..... Arnie took his goals well and Obiang looked sharp enough, Mas played well in spells as if he is making a statement and Snodgrass was decent and was pretty mobile looking to link up play. Yaramenko clearly is finding his feet and looks a prospect and Rice was in parts superb though made a slight error to let them get back to 2-2. In the end a decent work out and you can see Pellegrini is looking to find his best starting XI, footnote Mas still needs to work on his final ball.

Never been a fan of Masuaku and don't think I ever will. He looks the part but runs into dead ends or puts the ball out for throw-ins or goal kicks. Surely bette options. Maybe impact sub, but rathe he left especially after the sobbing incident.
Some of he highlights I've seen make us looks half decent for pre season. I think we'll be doing well with Pelle in charge of a half decent squad. COYI

TBF he put the ball on a plate for Arnies opener, great delivery and vision, I think Nobes has a role but maybe not 90 mins worth, pen was weak and too easy for the keeper but even in a friendly the passion was their, a few of the lads looked a little jaded but a few more games and I think all will click into place.

in all honesty, we do need back up for Wilshire as he will get injured during the season noble/obiang/rice/kyouate should be competing for the other spot as for masauku he is a left-sided midfielder I'm pretty sure creswell wil be first choice left back when fit
