Thanks worked a treat

Just finished watching
We were poor. We weren’t good at keeping possession and we’re out pressed for long periods. While we defended well and didn’t let them create much our own creativity wasn’t much either apart from the two goals. Fantastic speed and a very good cross from Fredericks with a well guided header from Anderson. Our winner was all about Arnie’s strength, speed and calmness in front of goal. I don’t think this poor performance is a sign of things to come just a certainty that Kouyate and Obiang won’t play at the same time together again. Against a quick Ipswich team they looked very slow.
Didn't see it, but ...
It's somewhat delightful to hear that while playing poorly we managed to score 2 goals and win, with Arnie getting yet another goal and Anderson getting on the scoresheet.

We were definately poor north
We were definately poor north bank. I'd say our lack pressing of the ball kept us from really getting into the game. I just dread to think this kind sloppy play is what the new guys THNK is ok in the prem! I know it's early doors but this needs to be nipped in the bud from here on in.
Got to agree with that
Apart from not reacting well to their pressing game we lacked somebody slowing the game down with their foot on the ball. In stead we let the pace of the game run free and it was a sloppy pass to them that gave them their equaliser. The stark contrast that I didn’t mention earlier was our team has stars that can score no matter what against a Championship team and despite the industrious way Ipswich went about the job they don’t have the stars we have. It won’t be like that once the season starts.
It looked like we did not want it enough
which I think is fine, preseason and all that, did not want to come away with an injury so close to the start of the season. Ipswich looked hungry and if they play like that all season they will do very well. Agree with all the above.
I’d normally agree
And I know what you mean but these are new players that should be wanting to impress mixed with existing players that should be fighting for their place. A Luke warm performance isn’t good at this time. Maybe after a good season or two with a mostly settled squad but not now. Looking at last season from about 8th place downwards there was little in it with very few points difference. Wanting it is paramount.
I agree we didn't want it
I agree we didn't want it enough. Which might be fine for the players who know the prem but the new boys might start thinking they can get away with the lack of effort in the prem. plus we are now getting close to the start of the season only 2 games to go so we have to get a lot closer to the efforts required for the Liverpool game. Personally I thought we played like its our first ore season game.
