This is how we figure Manuel Pellegrini will set his side up for the match against Bournemouth at the London Stadium, the line up is based on notes that El Pel had with him at his press conference ahead of the match, in a way it will be more interesting to see who will be on the bench, there can only be seven players so will they be Fabianski, Zabaleta, Yarmolenko, Balbuena, Chicharito, Snodgrass and Obiang? - Ed
Is This Pellegrini's Line Up?

I hope not. Rice and Noble
I hope not. Rice and Noble are too slow and big question mark over Diop. Need Pedro in that midfield to win a tackle.
CHANGES
Wilshire and noble in the middle anderson behind arnie masauku on the left not rocket science masaku was lethal from the left side last season and has the abilty to win the ball back high up the pitch
Masaku? Lethal? Last season?
Masaku? Lethal? Last season? God my memory must be getting bad. It has to be cresswell if he is fit as he is the only one of the two who has any defensive nous.
Your having a laugh...
Cresswell was an absolute liabilty last season
I'm not saying cresswell is
I'm not saying cresswell is perfect but neither masaku or fredricks can defend based on what I've seen. At least cress knows part of his job is to defend!
agree Dartford
Sorry, but any team with Noble in it is not good enough, our best players should be in these positions, they also need to cover and go forward, a lot of work and Rice is not ready and Noble not good enough.
Unbelievable the criticism of Noble
The one player at westham who bleeds claret & blue & he constantly gets slagged off...words fail me
Banana skin..
On the cards tomorrow
Masuaku
Is seventeen times better than Cresswell in any position
17 times? Ha ha very good.
17 times? Ha ha very good. Based on what exactly?
Agree with Dartford about Obiang
Also, I do not think Rice is a Premier League CM. Does anybody think he is? I guess Diop needs to play in order to adjust to EPL, but I'm tempted to have Rice in his place or Ogbonna's. I didn't see anything great from either Ogbonna or Diop last time out. I favour Masuaku over Cresswell just for the sake of the attacking options he brings, but I take the point that Cresswell is a better defender. Cresswell needs pushing, though, because at his best he CAN put in a good cross, but we haven't seen him at his best very much. Noble and Obiang in the middle can do a decent job for us. We need to find how best to use Anderson, though. He's our playmaker and the sooner we start getting him involved the better.
I do feel this is a potential banana skin. Bournemouth are not crap, and we were woeful (4-0 don't forget) in our first match. Let's hope we see a strong reaction.
People predicting this game
People predicting this game is a banana skin have forgotten one thing. This is West Ham and therefore by default EVERY game is a banana skin. Ok we do have option this season and we did play poorly last time out, but we must refrain from reading too much into the Liverpool game. We are a project in the making. We can't get drawn into a knee jerk reaction, players need to settle, we have ALWAYS been unpredictable, in my life time we have always struggled badly at Anfield and Liverpool are on a real high at the moment. If pellegrini believes in something/someone then he should stick to it regardless of just one game.
Good points Red Neck
Made me laugh that every game is a banana skin. Too right! And I agree that this season especially we need to allow some time for the manager to get everything settled. And of course Liverpool at Anfield is almost 100% a write-off. But we played badly, shipped four goals and are now at the very bottom of the table. Today will be a test, but a very important one, and for me nothing less than a victory will do this time out.
Potential is different to predicting
We all know that westham can get beat by anyone, its in our DNA!!But back in the day it wasnt that important, you didnt support westham cos you craved success...Difference now is expectation,a so called world class stadium, also apparently weve got the best manager weve ever had,so the pressure is on our club to deliver all the time...its taking the enjoyment out of it imo
65 I agree a lot of enjoyment
65 I agree a lot of enjoyment has gone out of it. It would be silly to suggest the pressure isn't on for all the reasons you give. It isn't however silly to suggest it shouldn't be after one game away to Liverpool tho. Ashes says we played badly but how often have we played there and played well? I bet it less times than I can count on one hand since I was born in 1963! Part of the beauty of West Ham is the banana skins we can also lay a few down for other teams. Any realistic hammers fans could NEVER really predict any result. Catch us on our day and we will kick some arse. Trouble is those days aren't often enough. That's part of the enjoyment tho. We reflect life. My enjoyment comes from giving the big boys a real fright and playing football that gets me off my seat. If we can at least get back to those days I'd be happy. Our team has bi polar. Big ups AND downs. I can live with that (on medication ) if I believe we are doing things the right way. When you see the likes of city, Chelsea, and manure the fans often don't really cheer as they now have an attitude of not IF we are going to scored just WHEN. That's not for me. We have to go through the lows to appreciate the highs when or if they come.
Really good post Red...
Cant disagree with any of that
Breaking news on the club website
Draught beer is now available throughout the stadium...Well f*ck me thats solved everything then hasnt it!!!
