Not sure on that team selection at all
But time to show a bit of fight regardless
most pundits predicting heavy loss
our defence not inspiring confidence. the way wilson cut through 5 is now widespread knowledge. not seeing us getting anything; holding it to 2-0 would be a moral victory.
Least they got rid of that
Least they got rid of that god awfull away grey strip
Sorry where did I say
Sorry where did I say Pellegrini didnt rate him? Again hes really not, woeful player.
Again, where did I say that?
Again, where did I say that? You sure that was me? Doesn't sound like something I would say.
Oh well, had the offer came
Oh well, had the offer came in he wouldve been off and it wouldve been for the better. The blokes useless.
God knows mate, Nothing even
God knows mate, Nothing even against Snodgrass, but Yarmolenko is class to. Makes no sense to me
Get in!
Marko, hope this is the start.
Well that
was another long lasting lead kept!!!!
Greedy by Antonio
Marko was wide open then but that's the way it goes.
Take off massa hes gets beat
Take off massa hes gets beat and dosnt get back hes going to be the cause of our downfall also wheelchair isnt worth a light
Thank god weve got Arnie
Anderson looking good as well,id stick yarmo on for the snod & obiang for wheelchair who has done zilch...the crowd will be on their backs need to take it to em 2nd half.COYI
Arsenal are there
for the taking but we may be made to regret those missed chances by Snodgrass and Arnie.
Take off Snodgrass
And bring on Yarmolenko, we need pace and go forward in the game. Have to feel for Diop though.
Nobes will get the blame
For that!!
Said it all last season it's
Said it all last season it's not rocket science you can't have players on your team that are not premiums material ,to name two wheelchair and Snody
How on earth
did we lose that match???? Any other side would have walloped Arsenal. We’ll never face such an inept defence again all season, except if we could play ourselves!!!! Three games in and we’re shipping three goals a game. At this rate we’ll be stuffed like the turkey, by Christmas!!!!
We lost it
Cos we cant last 90 mins, always seem to capitulate in the latter stages...
Never mind
Wolves up next, they will be a walkover!!
Much better performance from
Much better performance from the Hammers as they looked the better side in the first half but did not take their chances. If you take off Antonio, then Cresswell should have come on and Masuaku moved into left wing. Peres was a wasted space. Chicarito looked too light weight. Clearly, West ham needs another pacey midfielder to partner Anderson. He had the pace and clearly was the only one who could create anything for the Hammers. He probably was the best player on the pitch when he moved forward. But Arnie's injury did not help West Ham's rhythm that faded in the second half. Wilshere was non-existent during most of the game and should have been substituted in the second half for someone like Obiang. I do not think Noble was missed as West Ham especially in the first half went forward from defence and not sideways. Pellegrini will have to be more considerate about his substitutions in the next few games. Wolves next and they looked great though lucky against Man City especially in defence. Not going to be an easy match.
3.1 scoreline flatters the
3.1 scoreline flatters the arse, they should have been put to the sword, instead we fell on it ourself. We were much weaker when Arnie went off injured.lucky bastards they are.
Missed chances
in the first half we should have had at least two that should have been put away, one that I thought Antonio was greedy when he scuffed the shot straight to Cech when Arnie was completely open on his right. Another one was when Annie rushed the shot into the side of the net instead of taking that extra second when he had the room. Then when Arnie went off we seemed to lose all idea, their second goal I feel for Diop as it came to quick but it definately seemed to come off him which would have dampened his confidence being his first game. I agree with a few on here that Whiltshere should have been taken off as he was letting the emotion get to him which affected his game.
For me Anderson was playing the way we want him to play, when he started going forward he was fast and he covered the ground causing Arsenals defence all sorts of problems, Fabianski made some very impressive saves, a couple of other players that had decent games I thought Sanchez was fairly solid, Antonio and Snodgrass where a bit of a worry for Arses defence but both have no final finish which is a definately a worry.
It's beginning to look like
It's beginning to look like Ant is only a 45 minuet player.
No word yet on Arnie's injury ?
What i dont get...
Pellegrini - "im very happy with the westham performance",all over social media (yes i know!!) fans saying after the game "we should have won that"...sorry but we lost 3-1 to a side that has also lost their opening 2 games,is in transition with a new manager,so "if" we get relegated its ok to say "yeah but we nearly stayed up"!!!absolutely comical at times
Great thing for me is there
Great thing for me is there looks like something coming together. If we don't lose all our confidence I feel it could click. If we can I'd stick to the same again next time as a starting point. Too soon to say about arnie but apparently he wasn't strapped up when he left the ground. If not fit I can't see Hernandez fitting in based on a similar game plan. Infact I'd say his lack of interest during a game I'm not sure how useful he is for us as we can't afford passengers which he too often is.
There were very promising performances
From Anderson & fredericks... fabianski saved us many times again.Arnie was the catalyst of everything as usual but who else is coming together?
Yesterday was the easiest game we will have out of the first 8 matches or so,& we should have put it to bed...we cant defend for toffee & thats needs addressing
Begining to come Togeter
Good to see that Arnie is not a serious injury, we seemed a bit like when Carrol went off a few seasons ago, and we went on a downer and fell to pieces think this the mentality thing Manny is talking about. Unfortunately, cos I love Mark Noble but I think our midfield was more mobile without him and more solid with Sanchez in it, I said Anderson would be a Lanzini type player if he played attacking midfield, and once the defence get used to playing with one another we should see a few points on the board we are nearly there think Manny will drop Diop and put in Rice start Yarmolenko for Snodgrass. Strange that we haven't seen Cresswell with Masawaku on the wing either. But on the whole, I was not disappointed with our performance and let's face it the team put in quite a shift and it was deffo flattering Arsenal with that scoreline on another day we would have got the equaliser instead of conceding a late goal. One thing I will say its good to have competition in the front 3 but it would be nice to see the players passing to a player in a better position and not being greedy thinking that a goal will cement their place for the next game and trying to impress the manager. We should get an idea who he is going to play against Wolves on Sat by who he drops out of the game against the Wombles. Adriane should get a game like to see Holland and maybe Oxford or Cullen
There was one man in the six
There was one man in the six yard area when the ball came into Wellbeck for the third ,never seen anything like it he had all the time in the world to simply turn and stroke it home .
As for Anderson he seems to be blowing hot n cold ,his part in Arnie's goal was world class yet for the most part his performance was non descript ,Fredrick's will mature into a fine player ,forget about wheelchair he was once very good but now he's shite ,as far as I'm concerned our best buy by far was Fabiansky I know he's concerned 8 so far but he pulled off some classy saves yesterday ,and as said before ,look at our defense
I thought the same of
I thought the same of Anderson but as the game went on he seems to grow in to it. Feel like He could be a big player for us.
Agreed anderson definitely
Agreed anderson definitely needs to stay in the middle what I like about him he actually has a final ball aswell as good dribbling ability and pace. Problem with Wilshere, is he is much better at driving from deep and playing one twos with people and gets more involved, but at the same time hes probably not good enough off the ball to play in a 2. What pellegrini forgets about pirlo, is Juventus had the likes of Pogba and Marchisio around him and he always played in a 3.
That third goal was unreal Burkie
It was like schoolboy defending
If you watch that wellbeck
If you watch that wellbeck goal in slow mo,you'll actually see him re-lace his boots and have a shave before he spun on a sixpence and scored.
He also read all the sunday papers
As well mate!!;)
Have waited a while to post.
The result was expected, but that's not good enough. What West Ham have missed for as long as I've known them now is any sense of ruthlessness. Even in the one good year with Payet, we choked (with the help of the referees) in big games against United and Chelsea and the like. And we lost more than we should have against lesser opposition. This Arsenal match was there for the taking, and we didn't take. Same happened when we were 1-0 against Bournemouth. You can say that the silver lining is the improvement of the squad, especially in the first half. But improvement doesn't get you any points, and now we have an injured Arnautovic, our only scorer so far this season. "Gather ye rosebuds while ye may" as the saying goes -- points don't grow on trees. Tough match coming up, but a sense of ruthlessness would take the Hammers a long way towards getting their first point(s). Come On You Irons.
You have a point Ashes, I
You have a point Ashes, I think half the trouble was Payet, he was simply exceptional, a true talent, and a match winner. We hadn’t seen his like for years and maybe never again for many years. I think Anderson has the potential but....
