M6 playing In Rices position can be simplistic if you want it to be and you don't get drawn into doing other things like kouyate, and the other failures have a tendency to do. Having said that in a few years I'd expect a boy of his quality to start hitting more through balls from deeper, creating another attacking threat. Trouble will it be with us?

For once we have a few that look like leaders/ captains. Diop, balbeuna and rice all immediately spring to mind. If we hold on to all those 3 and they keep showing the same progress we should have no worries with competing with Europe. It was one of the big things we lack when noble isn't around. Plus ATM all seem worth their place in the first 11. You need more than 1 leader in any team to be successful.

Carrolls only contribution, ducking away from a header on our goal line while obstructing our own keeper! Bit unfair to say but the way we are trying to play is worlds away from the way Carroll plays! A lot of changes today gota disrupt us a bit, but those poor players that sat on our bench a few weeks ago got the job done.
