Seeing on SSN this afternoon Bolton and Bury have been given until 5pm today to prove there financial viability and if not they could well have there opening day fixtures and others suspended....with the Multi Millions of pounds in the Premier league do you really care about what is going on in the lower divisions...When you go back to the dark days when our club was in serious financial trouble and close to going to the wall its a case of there but for the grace of god go i.....when the seasons on i always make a point of recording the highlights of the football league and enjoy watching the national league on BT as well but when you see so many clubs struggling you must wonder how long can it keep going in its present format...so would it bother you if the football league started to lose clubs or is it just the inevitable side affect of the Premier League being the be all and end all for the money men.

Lots of reasons why EFL teams and lower divisions are struggling. Lack of support is the main one as austerity has hit most football supporters pockets.
Why the richer clubs in the top flight and the football leagues or the football association do not raise funds for them is beyond me. They are the grass roots and where a lot of talent is poached by premier clubs so why let it disappear?

The lower leagues dont get the revunue, small grounds low gates, small fanbase,so creating no business interest from outside investers, some english players dont get to reach their potential because of the influx of foreign players, that have an immediate route to the top,in my opinion, its a mixture of of this that can keep clubs at a lower level, the common denominator being money, you do get some good and passionate football played though, funny enough i enjoyed it to a degree when were on the championship, suppose the competitive spirit for promotion.

Though that league gets harder to get out of every year it seems.funny talking about non - league but is seems to me there is a fair bit of dough floating about at some of those clubs.seems to be more full time players & billericay town not that far from me are attracting a good standard of player albeit their owner is loaded!!

Personally cant stand Bolton, particularly in the Allardyce era, but we are are all part of a Big Football family and I have a lot of sympathy for both clubs supporters and also Notts County who are still not out of the woods!
