So, All Quiet On The West Ham Front Until Friday!

For the players the days off between last Saturday's lunchtime dismantling of Norwich City FC and the crucial Friday night so called £100 Million shoot out against fellow strugglers Watford have been warmly welcomed, not so for the West Ham United fans though. The eagerly anticipated Friday night confrontation will go a long way to decide whether either or both clubs survive or thrive in the fight to stay in the Barclays Premier League.

A draw or a defeat would not be the end of the world, but to inversely paraphrase Winston Churchill "it could be the beginning of the end!" With a penultimate game away to in form Manchester United, and a final, what looks like critical game at home to Aston Villa, the stakes couldn't be much higher.

We have, as have many other Hammers sites, discussed the utlisation of the players available in order for the final push to try and get over the relegation finishing line. David Moyes has a full squad to select from with the exception of Felipe Anderson and Robert Snodgrass, the former will be available for the Watford game having recovered from a slight hamstring injury, the latter could make the squad for the unenviable trip to Old Trafford having progressed well with his recovery from a back injury.

Referring to Anderson David Moyes said "I saw him jogging yesterday but he won’t be available for the game tomorrow, Felipe. He got a very slight grade one hamstring tweak which will normally keep you out ten days or 14 days, he’s not had it before so we hope it is not serious and we can have him back shortly." he was not so optimistic with regards to Robert Snodgrass “We’re still waiting on Robert, he’s done a little bit of light training but wasn't available for the Norwich game but I’m hoping that we might get him back for the trip to Manchester United and for the final game of the season against Aston Villa".

The home game against Watford will only be screened on Sky subscription channels as opposed to the free to air Pick TV channel, it is also possible to buy a day pass from Now TV to view the match, if your nerves can stand it! Those who do watch will do so with a mixture of anxiety and trepidation that will probably only be matched by the final game against Villa, stress levels through the air would be an understatement.

The fact is that David Moyes and his players have the club's destiny firmly within their grasp at the moment, and their performances alone can guarantee safety, they do not currently have to rely on other team's results, that of course might change on Friday, but even then redemption is still possible. The players will need big cajones, the fans will need even bigger amounts of whatever gets them through the night! - Ed

Famous last words lol......and this time around we will know the villa/bournemouth results before we take to the pitch at the B.O.M......villa may get a draw but with Ancelotti fuming at Evertons last two performances i expect it could be worse for villa and then there is citeh how often do they just stroll around and give other teams a result because they have nothing to play for? err never so if both results are positive for us(not talking covid19 here! trust me that's a bitch)then the players are good enough to put Watford to the sword but we have to have the same attitude we did against Chelski and everyone put in a shift because Watford will be thinking the same....a win IMO will be enough to keep us up COYI

You are the first person I 'know' who has contracted the Corona, Mac...Do you mind if I ask how old you are and how you think you may have got it. We have been so lucky over here. Every person who has passed away has been in their 70's and 80's and died with it rather than from it (in my opinion, which counts for bugger all)
I can't wait for the day we actually find out how this all really started and more importantly, why?
I have one crazy notion about China and Hong Kong, but thats all it is, a crazy notion...I lived there for 7 years in the 90's and had the time of my life and what they are doing to the place and the people now is truly criminal. Funny thing is we don't see or hear bugger all about mainland China any more, though their stock market seems to be doing alright when everyone else's is getting fisted hard...

Anyway, squeaky bum time yet again with games v Watford, muted and Villa. We need minimum 3 points and 4 points to make certain of survival if my maths serves me right. Hope we do it tonight and have done with it...

Stay safe bro and best of luck from Sydney

Well that result would have done wonders for you, right? 5.00am kick off for us but the first half was worth every minute of it. Second half was a bit to close for comfort. Sadly we haven't had a decent manager who knows anything about using subs to the best benefit...
Be glad to see the arse end of this season if I'm honest. Keep getting well bro and see you on here with yer updates, eh ! ! ! COYI

Get well soon mac ,
I think the Norwich result could do us more harm than good ,if we go out and think we'll stuff Deaneys Duffers the same then that could be our undoing ,Norwich layed down ,raised the white flag ,Hartlepool would have spanked them that day, got to do something west ham dont do , play the exact same way 2 games in a row
