Tomas Soucek's loan deal from Slavia Prague has now been converted in to a permanent signing, the 25 year old has signed a four year deal and has ended up costing West Ham just shy of £20 Million which includes the £4.25 Million initial loan fee. In the current Covid-19 climate, £20 Million is strong money, however Soucek has already shown how well equipped he is for the rigours of the Barclays Premier League, and his transfer fee will one day be seen as the absoute bargain that it really is.

Soucek's arrival couldn't have been timed better, the energy and enthusiasm he brings to the midfield has released the venerable Mark Noble to play further up the pitch, thus negating a lot of the errors that were creeping in to his play as a result of his age catching up with him, now although clearly unable to play every minute of every game, Noble is able to play with more freedom and doesn't now tend to concede free kicks in dangerous areas.

The signings of Soucek and Bowen are a clear indicator of the club's direction when it comes to player recruitment, and long may it continue, for far too long West Ham United has been a 'happy home' for past it, or soon to be past it, players looking for a final pay day.

Moysey has already proved his total commitment to the club by keeping us up twice. Now he wants to build us up from the bottom upwards. His signings so far have put his money where his mouth is. I have never been a Moysey knocker and was glad he was given a second opportunity as I believe he was treated shabbily first time around. Look how much THAT cost the club due to the total ineptitude of SuGo!
Now let’s finish the season on a high against Villa. COYI !!!!!!
