Let sam go after newcastle and appoint Dyche? Its been a debate all season, 'who would replace sam' if he goes. its been a good point. klopp and benitez i think its safe to say aren't interested, so thats them ruled out. looking at us as a club the potential quality of manager we can attract is debatable. looking at who would jump at the chance to manage us and the list gets smaller. I ruled out Dyche earlier because burnley didnt do a lot in all honesty, showed us some good matches here and there but difficult to judge his tactical ability due to the lack of quality in his team. looking at sam and his comments, its not what we want to hear. all he has to do is be honest and say you know what this year (since jan) its been very poor, i need to make some changes in the summer, bring in one or two blah blah. what we don't want to be hearing is that everything is fine and dandy etc. i've always said this is the right time to move on, to get a new man at the helm and someone who can stay with us for a good few years, building forwards. If we offered Dyche the job he would no doubt take it. he's not going to get a chance at anyone above us as i can't see any changes happening there. newcastle is not an attractive job either with the owner. so i'd say why not? he's youngish, has some fresh ideas, can motivate ….his 4-4-2 is a bit basic and may be found out but he has the appeal of being a rodgers type, likes to look for youth and sustainability. Anyone else think Dyche would be a decent choice all things considered and realistically looking at the options?
No Dicksy I don't think he
No Dicksy I don't think he will take us forward, backwards I'm afraid. One season in premier league ,relegated. We need the next manager to have better experience.
Agree. I'd almost stick with
Agree. I'd almost stick with alla........I can't say it but you get my point. Although Southampton and Swansea have had relatively successful seasons under Koeman and Monk we really should be in a position to aim higher and attract a good manager with several seasons of success.. If Dyche had managed to save Burnley then mayyybeeee he could have been in the running but alas he needs to start from Square 1 again unfortunately.
It's an interesting call,
It's an interesting call, Dicksy, but I'm still deluded enough to think we should be getting a better 'bigger name' manager. I've always expected SUGO to push the boat out when we moved to the OS, and still hope they might surprise us all yet. I appear to be the only one who voted for Bilic in the poll, because I reckon Benitez might not stay long (if he came at all),and I want a youngish guy here who might stay a good number of years at the helm, and who has the contacts to attract better players.
I actually liked the way
I actually liked the way Burnley played going forward but not the way they defended. Very much the style of the Championship where any team from ten could get promoted but likely to fall back as Burnley did because they did not tighten up their defence.
I still think we will get Benitez or Bilic and will be happy with either of them especially Benitez. It is rumoured we would offer £4m and upto £6m (depending on targets achieved) to get him but they are only rumours.
Remember the sacking of Avram Grant after our last game! My money is on a similar period after the Newcastle game (or at most 24 hours) after Allardyce's deluded rant this week blaming everyone except himself for our poor performance since Christmas and stating we have had a very successful season!
I just want good attacking football with plan B and plan C when necessary and a good defence. I love the way Southampton play and see no reason why we cant do the same with the right manager!
I don't think Dyche
Is even in the boards thinking Dicks, I think a lot on the names that have been mentioned are a no go . Think we just have to wait and see.
I never said that dicks
I can't stand ally the sooner he has gone the better . We will never win anything under him he has sucked the life out of most of the fans , I don't look forward to any of the games now and I don't expect to win any game now . But that not what you said, you said Dyche and no I can't see the board going for him even if all the others turn us down. They will get someone but it will not be him , he is not on there radar .
Sean Dyche ..
Yes Mr Dicks .. I also like Sean Dyche I think he would be worth a shot .. But like a lot on here Rafa would always be my first choice and then Bilic !
More and more I think it will
More and more I think it will be Bilic, I've never liked the fat Spanish waiter (got a few screws loose) and I reckon he thinks he's too good for the likes of us! Bilic will bring passion, international managerial experience and maybe a few of those good Croatian players! Gonna stick a few quid on him.
The end
Looks more likely he and the rest will be going?

You just do not know
He likes good football he is British which I personally think is important young'ish hungry for success too, he could either be brilliant or terrible you just cannot tell.
Personally I would rather have someone with a bit more experience, but if they could not find anyone else I would be happy enough just not very happy.
I love Dyche and his football
I love Dyche and his football but the risk is just to massive, but can you imagine if we did sack sam for sean Sam's reaction would be like you sack me for him when i done the double over burnley LOL anyway i heard Guy Ritchie wants to sign him up :)
Maybe you are right about
Maybe you are right about Gold being a bit of an old fuddy duddy, but I don't think Sullivan is like that, and he is the real power. Remember this is West Ham not Birmingham City, we have the newest smartest stadium in Europe to move into, McLeish or Bruce? Nah can't see them being in with even a faint hope.
As for Bilic being a back-stabber, I think that is all wildly exaggerated, Everton offered him 3 times what we were paying him, and we didn't even try to increase his wages... I'd have moved, wouldn't you? Anyway I don't believe in this stuff him being an ex-player being a big reason to have him: sure it helps a bit that he knows the club, but that's about all. I want him because he's passionate, knowledgeable, and very smart. Also because at his age, IF he does OK, he could be our Manager for a good long time.
Alex McLeish is available and
Alex McLeish is available and after Sunday you can have Steve Bruce. Be careful what you wish for........
you keep using that
you keep using that terminology Jeff, "be careful what you wish for " truth is your a die hard Sam fan and so are a few others including nt , not getting at you or anything , you've a perfect right to state your case , im a get rid of man i see no point in carrying on with this guy , he's straight out of the dark ages with his inclusion of the three stooges time after time , i would forgive him for Nolan thats blatant nepotism, and Jarvis ?god bless him he really tried his heart out to impress, but Cole , oh my god , any manager that would include this man in a premiership side for me isnt worth a bucket of piss
When he left us
he said it was to 'further his career'? The fact was his salary was around £4.5k per week and Everton paid him about £8.5k per week was more the story so why not be honest about it? I was gutted at the time!
Didn't he tell Everton that
Didn't he tell Everton that he wouldn't move until the new season started because he owed loyalty to West Ham to help them avoid relegation (which we did), and only moved in the summer? Either way I think it's ridiculous to reject him as a manager for something he did 20 years ago as a young man; perhaps we should refuse to have him because he play-acted in the World Cup to get Blanc sent off. We all do stupid things when we are young (AND when we are older!), "let he who is without sin cast the first stone!" :-)
I remember the chants when he
I remember the chants when he came back with Everton ' One greedy bast..........theres only one greedy bast.......'
Haha yeah, we're an
Haha yeah, we're an unforgiving bunch aint we? :-)
I'm not sure whats worse ....
I'm not sure whats worse .... Sam's arrogant Northern twat drone, or Sean Dyches "I've been Karaoking for 6 months, whilst drinking lighter fuel" boom
