Moyes Told Sully Buy For The Club NOT The Fans

As we have highlighted before, Hammers financial woes are not just as a result of the Covid pandemic, but also because of previous manager Manuel Pellegrini's profligate spending. Now we know that the co-owners of West Ham don't do themselves a lot of good from a PA point of view, and thankfully they have kept out of the limelight during Hammers recent good run of results that saw the club qualify for a proper European competition for the first time at group stage level.

Now we heard from a source at the club that David Sullivan and David Moyes, along with David Gold, the 'three Davids', had a 'heart to head' meeting regarding future transfer activity. When the true state of play was revealed to Moysie regarding the club's finances, and the impact Pellegrini's spending had, he was supposed to have said "Never again, not on my watch, you have to understand that players need to be bought for the good of the club, NOT just to keep the fans happy!" he went on to say "Fans are like children who want a chocolate bar or a tub of ice cream, they will keep on wanting more until they get ill", and you know what? He was right.

Ever since the move from the Boleyn, fans have had an agenda against th owners who appeared to have failed in their promise of reinvestment in the squad, and just like your Dad told you off for having a drink when you were too young, but then was happy to go to the pub with you as soon as you turned 16 or 18. Having pleaded poverty for far too long, the co-owners suddenly splurged the club's entire stack on Manuel Pellegrini and his title aspirations.

Employing Pellegrini was a total disaster, he may have been a class act once, but his high maintenance nearly ruined the club. His acquisitions had fans excited, but the numbers didn't stack up, it is only now that the full extent of just how much his dalliances cost the club are taking effect.

In a nutshell, ironically the biggest problem with Gold and Sullivan is that they are FANS, not Lady Muck, she's from a different planet! The problem with having fans in charge is that they think with their hearts and not their heads. We know most people think Sullivan has no heart, rather like Lady B, but hidden beneath everything he does care, even if fans don't care if he cares.

Perhaps the penny has finally dropped, and that important acquisitions should be made by professionals who know what they are doing, as opposed to relatively well-meaning but ultimately amateur chairmen, trusting Moyes might actually see them reach the European dream they have lusted after, consistently as opposed to once in a claret and blue moon. - Ed

I'm not having that! Those 2 are never fans imo,Sully was born & bred a cardiff supporter & Gold was never bothered about being a westham fan whilst he built his dildo empire...they celebrated like a couple of kids when their beloved brum sent us down....its all about money for them & them being fans is as phoney as their cringey crossed hammers gestures

i get your point 65 and the celebration as Birmingham directors was probably more for the Brum support and media. I know that Gold's mother was at the game wearing claret and blue! Remember this was the time of Terence Brown and I think Suli had a barney with him???. Another reason to celebrate? Dont get me wrong, Im no fan of any of the Unholy Trinity!

Hundred percent agree H65. France may have their Golden Triangle in midfield, but we have our very own porno triangle with Lady Buttplug firmly inserted, pardon the pun.

They are about as real for this club as Carol Vordermans pumped up arse - it makes me sick when I hear them going on about being fans, that one went out with Right said Fred and the dinosaurs...........

I will have to side with you on this Nev. I couldn't give a **** about Lady Muck. But I do believe that Sully and Gold care about the club and went out on a limb to placate supporters...Obviously their hearts overruled their heads.
Are ALL of the Premier Leagues Chairmen supporters of their clubs?... of course not. So I see it as a Splitting Hairs issue, but it did have a bearing on the signings made at West Ham where the chairmen were fighting to get back onside with supporters. In hindsight, the clues were there for all of us to see as most of Pelle's signings were difficult to get over the line whilst settling for Plan Z and we always ended up paying over the odds. Effectively as supporters the chairmen handed over control to Pelle and his mucker, whilst most of us supporters bayed for more.
Moyes is spot on regarding supporters, and along with social media some of the published views border on the "Insane" on a daily basis.
IF I was the chairmen I would AVOID social media like the plague and simply work closely with Moyes to turn this club around. As for us supporters, we need to turn the volume down a little and understand that slow steady progress is something to be built upon. Trust in Moyes, and thank the chairmen for backing him in every way possible.
On a final note....... I have NEVER known better chairmen than Sully and Gold...... and I would like to know if anyone else actually knew better West Ham chairmen and who they were?

One of the reasons they have got it wrong most of the time is trying to pretend they are fans,I'd rather owners that are not bothered about being fans but are bothered about the club & how it is run,no other chairmen of any other club come out with "We are fans first & foremost" & another gem by them "it makes no sense whatsoever financially to buy this club...do me a favour

Or, unfortunately in the case of those turds, Gold and Sullivan, there haven't been many owners/chairmen of West Ham in my time of supporting the Hammers which go back as far as 1964 when Reg Pratt was in charge. Thanks to him we set up the Chadwell Heath training facilities and the obtained the freehold of he Boleyn Ground. The Cearns family got later control and were instrumental in the birth of the new East Stand although the later Cearn (Martin) will probably only ever be remembered for the infamous Bond Scheme. On to Brown and whatever one may think of him it was under his leadership that both the North Bank, South Bank and the latest West Stand were all built. Admittedly some sacrifices had to be made for the latter, I believe, the sale of Rio being one of them but all in all, pretty much a whole rebuild of our beloved ground. The Icelandic takeover is a bit of a conundrum because we will never know what might have happened if the financial crash hadn't happened, but yes it wasn't a good time. So. You have NEVER known better chairmen than G&S? Either you haven't been supporting Hammers for long or maybe you can shed some light on the legacy G&S will leave thast so excites you about them. Because all I've seen is a couple of clowns who for the last 11 years have made us a laughing stock of football.

We cant compete with bigger clubs because we are at the Boleyn we cant expand the ground(lie)so we need to move (which we did) then we can compete...year in year out there is always some excuse.....i am not bothered about Marquis signings i just want to see us actively pursuing players instead of standing round letting stories come out who we are interested in then find out ooops sorry we dont have as much money as Leyton Orient so thats why we missed out there!.....one season they went daft with El Pel one season out of how many others where we penny pinched and kept raking in the money claiming poverty and yet come January if it all goes tits up they suddenly find the cash.....So enough is enough for me i am sick and tired of hearing it....Down the years i have been watching West Ham after every time we have a brilliant season its followed by us selling our best players and dropping down the league and inevitably end up relegated....now i do not expect that to happen this summer as in selling our better players but ffs if we cannot compete with Villa/Leicester/Everton and the like then what is the point seriously what is the Fu***ng point...

Sorry Nev !
The only thing the Cons are fans of is money !These leeches have taken every penny possible, out of the Club and more.As The Gobby one fills the sacks full of money ,Uncle Albert packs the getaway bags. !Some think Uncle Albert, is good man and a fan of the Club .Wash your mouth out and get real !I cast your minds back to when we got relegated ,when Trevor Brooking was manager .We drew 2-2 with Birmingham City at St Andrews ,meaning Bolton Wanders stayed up and we went down .'Uncle Albert's' comments in the Monday's Independent were most revealing :"I'm DELIGHTED that West Ham went down "said 'Uncle Albert 'A fan ??NOT in a MILLION YEARS !Lets make this perfectly clear the Cons bought the Club with the sole intention of selling our Ground ,and getting involved in The Upton Gardens Property Development. Uncle Albert has been seen driving into Upton Gardens, more times than the London Stadium ! I feel sorry for the many fans who gave the jizz twins a chance, only to have their trust trampled into the ground !They have endured lie after lie ,phantom 'bid; after phantom 'bid',the last couple of seasons they even invented the phantom takeover 'bid's, to deflect the lack of investment in transfer windows .They have been well served by their Pravada ,Claret and Hugh ,who spin and lie for them 24/7.They run fake profiles acting as their masters attack dogs .The Cons may be on the final run for home ,but they will not get away with looting our great Club .There is a storm brewing ,even their biggest Happy Clappers are turning. Time to be truly West Ham UNITED, and get rid of the shysters once and for all !We are more than a football Club ,we're a way of life !!
